So Ive driven through tons of heat, stress, and traffic. not a single drop in the expansion tank! I think its safe to say that problem is solved!
I can't believe my little engine has survived so many drastic overheating episodes and still runs like a champ. lol

Took the car to another autocross but I was smelling fuel and didn't run. Got home and took the upper manifold and did some serious work.
I accidentally installed extra grommets on teh bottom of the injectors. which crushed the upper grommets and caused lots of fuel leak action.
I also found a huge vacuum leak, and a detroyed injector wire. Fixed all of it and HOLY DAMN! This thing drives so much better!
Pics....
Hopefully these work. If you can't see them I'll host them elsewhere.

Also note the open vacuum nipple at the bottom of the photo... not sure if that goes to the ACV or if it was open the whole time, but i capped it this time.

So i almost died last week.
A semi was ghost riding down a highway and flipped his lights on last second. swerved and missed him. ended up in a ditch and smashed the car. Good news is im totally fine and im fixing the car. Hoping to have it running for this weekends autocross!
Lost both ball joints (one was toast before anyway)
Left inner and outer tie rods
Brand spankin new tire POPPED a huge hole. less than 20 miles on it!!!!
Here is the carnage...
These are the trees i mowed down. use the foot for reference.

It took over 8 hours but the Mazda is back on the road!
Tie rods inner and outer replaced on drivers side along with the ball joint. Aligned it by eye and it drives straight!
Today I drove an hour to an autocross and beat on it all day then drove it home with no issues. I do have a knock in the steering when cornering super hard but I think I can figure it out soon.

Finally vaccuumed out the interior. found even more ancient pennies again. i think they are falling out of the bottum of the seats. lol
Also messed with teh bumper a bit and have it almost all the way on. Also fixed the running lights and turn signals so Im pumped for that!
Still have to take the whole bumper off somehow and bend it back to proper shape.

Small update!
I bought a Fiesta ST. Its quite rad.
I also have a Garage now where I can store things like engine-less Rx'7s. lol
Question to anybody reading, Should I start on the Supercharger build on this chassis while I look for a clean car, or just wait until I find a good car and do everything on that?

So this little guy is destined for Lemons in October. I'm super excited!
Started on gutting hte thing. I finially got that dumb seat out of the car as well! I'm down about 3 lbs not counting the seats. I'm going to try to weight everything I've taken out. That will be pretty cool to know.
Anyways, photo and stuff...

Did a bunch more work today!
Removed the window glass, sliders, and motors from the doors. Also took out the windshield interior trim. I'd say I took out around 50 pounds of crap today. MORE FREE SPEED!
The drivers side gave me some issue but a little bending got it out. No worries as I am cutting the internal wall of the doors out anyways. The plan for next weekend is to grab my cutoff wheel and do some serious damage to the doors. Then take out the heater core and AC delete!

Today I woke up hella early for a AutoX in Detroit but it was rainging so I bailed. Oh well.
SO rather than wast the day I Removed the Heater Box, AC box, and TON of firewall sound dedening and the radio antenna.
Then I started cutting out the door panels. The passenger side is mostly done. Going to finish off the bottm bits and cover the sharp edges.
Then randomly I saw THE EXACT SEAT I NEEDED for sale on Facebook. Picked it up with two hours of it being posted for HALF the price I was going to spend on a new one. SCORE!!!!!!
So now the NEED LIST is as follows...
Seat Brackets
Cage/fireextinguisher
Radio
Brake job
Bearings/suspension mods
The WANT list
New Transmission and expiriment with adding a Trans cooler
Another set of wheels and some sticky tires

Ok the Heater Core Delete is complete with some 3/4" hose (about 3 ft i think) running from the spark plug side of the rear Iron to the little extender hose thingy by the firewall.
Also Started her up again and she runs awesome!!! Did an Oil and Filter Change plus fixed a MASSIVE fuel leak at the top of the fuel filter. The hose clamp wasn't even close to tight and it had a literal stream of fuel hitting the floor. lol
Next step is get the proper bolts for the seat. The ones I bought were way too short.
Then its time to take a test drive!!!

Seat is in but it sits WAY high and the seat bracket fitment sucks. Not sure if its the design or the bent frame from crashing. Who know but I'll likely have to weld the seat bracket in. Anyways here is the first drive video!
