i would need to get the collar for the threaded section and the intermediate piece. But yea, that is kinda what I am thinking. Same for the rear I suppose. I will worry myself more about that once the car is running since in the mean time it is pointless to try and work on getting the suspension sorted when I can't even drive the stupid thing.

So the local rally that I thought was no more, will be held in late October as a single day event. SO, I need to get my **** done.

Ordered the 5.29 ring and pinion with assorted installation bits. Ordering a Weir performance kit for the Supra LSD to spice it up a bit.

Going with the carter fuel pumps. Not messing about with the higher pressure stuff. Should simply things.

Brakes are ready to bleed. Clutch is ready to bleed.

Driveshaft is in!

Going to work on the electrical system next week and hope to see this thing do some basic stuff.

Shhhh, don't tell them about the 318 Ti! Y'all better not be rallying the 2002 on anything but local backroads! WAY too precious!

Differential is coming together. Weir performance kit in the supra LSD should be ready in a few days. Then I can assemble the rear with the 5.29 R&P.

New fuel pump box w/ the carters is basically ready to go in. Need some more PTFE line to finish the plumbing.

Got rid of the remote oil filter and went back to the OE top mounting for simplicity.

Still need to figure out the whole shifter thing.

Nostalgic!
I grew up throwing up in the backseat of my mom's 2002 as she railed over Mt Tam.

October is the Mendocino rally. I hope to have my car done by then to race. Worst case I'll be there doing something.

Probably the coolest, yet biggest pain in the *** car ever.

Hi Whizbang. I been following your thread. And I like it a lot.
My question is...what are you using for a brake master/booster. Reason I ask is that I need something heftier than stock for the circuit.
Any input from you would be respected.

I am using an early 90s Subaru legacy booster and master cylinder. There is a difference between the ABS and non-ABS and honestly I do not recall which I have. Probably the narrower can? I might have it in the thread somewhere.

It bolts to the firewall but you need a spacer. Like the one from a GSLSE.

You may need to trim down a couple threads off the booster otherwise the adjustment might bottom out on the pedal. Use the Rx7 clevis (same thread).

This gives choice for MC size and a double diaphram booster. Much cheaper than the 929 junk.

I've been doing things.

The diff is in. 5.29 final drive with solid pinion sleeve and the Supra LSD with Weir kit. AND nothing is leaking after I added fluid. Horrah.

Related. The wheels fit. Which is good. Because wheels need to fit, or so I'm told.

Still working with the engine bay now. Need to finish some wiring, vacuum bits, the throttle linkage, some minor other things. More of a time issue at this point. The exhaust is the next big hassle.

my fiancee flocked the dash for me! Small update but quite a bit has been done. Just focusing more on doing than documenting.
