Love it. I too am more partial to gloss black but I understand your reasons for going flat. It's funny, I don't even have an FB yet and I already bought a whale tail from craigslist. Can't wait until I can take on a restoration project like yours. Until then, I will keep drooling over your pictures...

It looks so good on the widebodies, you definitely should do it.

IMO I dislike the whaletails and prefer the ducktail either the smaller 3 piece or the large racing one. I think it adds quite a bit to the looks of the car, however to each his own at least it isn't a 3 foot tall hoop

I agree with that! ^ Both spoilers give different characteristics to RX7s, but both look good, and it also looks good w/o a whale tail, but I would rather have a whale if I had the option to get one.

Widebody

Been going through older posts to get ideas for my '85. All the work you've done looks great. Your post should help me avoid alot of the mistakes I made when I tried this the first time with an '81 FB starting back in '84 thru '88.

If your still following and posting any details on a suspension setup for an '85 FB will be greatly appreciated, just ordered a full front clip from Mariah and rear fenders. Already has a 350 sbc and auto trans. Looking to see what all I can do after redploying from Bagram. Any info on 5 bolt disc brake swaps to replace the 4 bolt stock?
