73-75 Spent most of my time on 'O' street. Street races were very common back then and I could cruise 'O' all night for 5 bucks worth of gas.
Had a friend that built VWs, His would keep up with me from 15 to 60 mph on a step down.

Was going to ask if you knew any of the Lincoln moparheads, but thats a little too far back. A friend had a '69 GTX at age 15 in '77, that's about as far back as any of my friends go.
I started with the mopars about a year after high school in '88, sold my rusted out Z and bought a '70 Charger R/T for $1100. Every time I look at ebay today, I wish i'd kept that car and alot of others that followed. My favorite was a '67 cuda fastback I had from '90-94. Very mild 440, TF with manual valve body, 3.91 8 3/4, 9x28 m/t tires. Ran on 91 octane, ran a best of 11.86 @ 115.6 with some fiberglass parts. I had like $3500 in the whole car, was beating guys with more than that in their engines

Body kit was through CPracing, they are now closed. It is now available through Blackdragon auto.
Intake manifold is a pretty common one piece design, Robert (rotaryshack) carries them and I believe they were on ebay for a cheap buy it now price recently. The carb is a mukuni 44 phh like he said...

you can get the manifold from

and I think the carb is a weber 48? I am judging from the half street and half bridge set up...

Found both the intake and carb in a private junkyard.
Nice job! Car looks awsome! Being around you age and having done countless rebuilds, I can appreciate all the time and hard work that went into that. Hope to get time to start working on mine soon.
I really like the silver! What size are your back tires/rims they could be a bit wider too.
With my 17x12" ccws and 315/35/17 i'm still almost tempted to go slightly bigger.
In the front 17x10" with 255/40/17 is also looks slightly too small with my respeed camber plates, but I wouldn't want to push the limits with this kit. I don't think the fiberglass would take much of a hit from the tire before taking some big damage.

After 4 years this thread gets moved to the Non-Tech section, what gives? If the widebody build isn't a Technical thread, then I don't know what is. If the only reason for moving it is because the car is now for sale, that's just plain silly.
I will update this thread with the additional mods I've done since I first posted this thread, just need to gather up and organize the pics I've taken. I would appreciate the mods returning this thread to the 1st Gen Tech section where it belongs. I would also like the Moderator who moved this thread to PM me and explain the reasoning behind it.
I find it disrespectful not only to me but also to the rest of the forum that this thread, with a great deal of technical information, has been moved to the Non-Tech section.
JunpoweR, very nicely done. I had the same problem with the front tires on mine, 15X7 Epsilons. I have since gone with 15X9" SSRs in the front, 15X10" in the rear. Afaik. this particular body kit is the widest one made for the 1st gens.
