Havn't been on here in a while but at first glance I thought this was going to be about your car... Yours put this to shame though. Also I've moved on to a slammed mk2 jetta and now fully respect driving in ottawa lowered haha

Your car is really cool. I need some shorted front struts also. Mine bottoms out in the front over some bumps.

nothing is new. i've been collecting parts for my FC build. The FB is still in storage. i have some new wheels for it and have an electrical issue to sort out since doing the 12a turbo. the rear has been lowered a bit. i ended up notching the rear frame to allow for a bit more travel. besides that its not a drastic change.

i would be interested in seeing the notches and how much of a drop you got from it, if you have the time to get pics

Its not really worth it without a bunch more linkage changes. i need to pick up some nicer dampers for the rear. The illuminas aren't cutting it as a short stroke damper. i have some potential solutions. As far as ride height in the rear, it will stay the height it is.

I'm new to the Rx7 world and was wondering if you think I could run the 15x7s on a stock ride height 81 fb with no spacers or anything? i'm just looking for something nice to slap on and not worry about... I don't really know anything about wheels and offsets and I was wondering if you could recommend a offset for some of the 15x7s if they would fit
?... Btw, sickest 1st gen I have yet to see. Thanks for the answer in advance man

I've heard of Camaro rear dampers being used. Maybe look into those. There's a user on here using QA1 coilovers in the rear of his race 7. They run pretty low as well and the parts aren't prohibitively expensive.

Love the thread. 99-03 Camaro rear shocks are the same other than being two inches shorter than the stock rear shocks. I know foxbody mustang rear shocks bolt in as well. I am building rear coilovers and will be using aftermarket camaro shocks as my base.

i didn't know about the camaro dampers but i did find fox body dampers will fit and are shorter. the best ones i've found are the strange engineering ones. $60ea and rebound adjustable

I love everything about your car. Damn near what I picture when I think about the perfect FB. Do you have any idea what diameter the mk2 supra tube is? I'm thinking I want to attempt what you did with your front since I have extra parts but I would rather just buy some pipe from the store instead of track down a mk2 supra just to cut the tubes off and probably pay more than I should lol
