Looking good Roar, seems like there will be a lot of 1.gens next summer! Now, how about starting a thread on the norwegian Mazda owners forum?

PS. Hva slags pris hadde du sett for deg for et panser i carbon?

pris på karbon panser vet jeg ikke enda, skal tenke litt mere på priser når jeg har fått støpt til meg selv å ser hvordan resultatet blir..

I cant come with a price for the people before I have maked the whole kit for my own car.. This is beacause i need to find out how much time it takes, and I also have to make the last molds of the "wing" and the front and rear spoiler..

I only have molds of the hood and the fenders yet, the rest I havent cared about since its not the most important to do on the car.

Will probably take a month or two before I can come with a price..
Depends on what material you want also, and the thickness of the fenders, how many layers of fibers you want..

But its not to hide that the carbon fiber kit will be expencive, the fiber glass by the way will be a lot cheaper... The carbon fiber by it self and the epoxy for it, is very expencive..And also the process for making it in carbon fiber is a lot more complicated than the fiber glass.

this is how the fender looks like now, the test is running and the picture shows the mold with the carbon fiber under vakuum...will stay like this for tomorrow and then I will find out if the carbon fiber is coming of the mold or if it is stuck to it..

here are some pictures of how the test ended..
Some marks on the fender caused by to little job with the fiber before i put it in vakuum, going to do a new test on monday where i want the result to be perfect..

well, here are the pictures of the result, i looks bad beacause i had not cleaned the fender after i took it out from the mold when i took the pictures..the surface on the fender is as near to perfect as you can come for a first timer..

Inside of it looks bad beacause of the vakuum-bag maked the marks, but who cares about the inside?

the outside looks much better
