what rearend are you going to use? I have rebuilt the axle with 4 link and wattlink to let i move properly. The suspension i have on the rear axle is the same as Rx7 FC turbo II, same as I use in the front, Tein Flex with EDFC. |

What widebody kit is that? I like how it does not modify the front bumper. Simple and effective all at the same time.
Nice work. |

Nice work. The front fender on the left side is not like the 3 other ones at all, so i have spent a lot of time on it to make it look like the other ones. Used foam and built it like I want it to be. Can post a picture of it later today. I am going to make me models of this kit, so I can create new ones if i destroying one while driving. I am going to make it all i Carbon fibre, the fenders, front, rear and the hood is beeing made in carbon fibre. |
One of the nicest widebodies I have seen for the FB. The 20B in there will be sweet
|
Looking good!

Can't say I've ever seen that widebody for sale, unless this is the factory kit used on the #7 and #77 cars that Mazda campaigned.. I like the lines on it a bit better than mine.
Keeps us posted on the progress, love to see the finished car. |
sick body! gotta get one of those.
|
I have never seen it 4 sale anywhere either. but i am a mechanic on a org GrpB rally rx7, so i got the kit from there, i will make molds of the kit so i can make several if i need to..
Makes it more easy for me.. I love the shapes of this kit. Sure i can post more pictures during the process The only problem is that this kit demands that you get the wheels more out from the car, about 7-10 cm in front and rear. Or else it will look stupid with the fenders way outside the wheels |
I had the same problem with my wideboy kit. Bit it's the widest one I've seen. Even with the 15X7 Epsilons in the front and 15X9 in the rear, the wheels sat in too much. I found a set of SSRs in Japan, 15X9/15X10. With the TII front brake upgrade it moved the wheels out more. Still waiting to buy the Moser axles from ReSpeed so I can mount the rears.
The following link is to my widebody build. https://www.rx7club.com/build-threads-293/unvieling-12a-bp-widebody-462184/ |

How did you mount the sway bar to the frame rails?

Was it a good idea to weld it? I'm doing something similar and the ability to remove it without cutting anything would be nice.
|
the brackets with the treads for the swaybar is welded to the frame, I welded a 4 mm steel bracket here, and then treaded this one, now i can install and remove the swaybar using the same bolt and fittings that it's fitted with on the FC
