I see.

Yeah, would be to meet yah guys. If it ever happens, we should try to gather all the rotary guys around here at a track day or something like that.

Drive our cars on track, having fun on daytime with the cars, barbecue, talking and some beers at the night..

how much weight is this saving you.

at this rate you should just make a giant mold of the the car.

Looking great! once again ... as far as a complete carbon fiber shell, its not about the cost of making it, but making molds for a 1000 pieces and then try to piece things together. Better off making a full monocoque from scratch.

That is right. Its not only to make a mold of a car, a lot of details to think about. And also have to think about how to get the mold of the shell again.

Next winter will be CF doors, and CF roof..

That is great, tested them on the car? when you get rid of the tape on the mold, you will get a much better result than we got this weekend.

Not good, specialy not when you have a hobby like this... You have to spend less money on vodka, and more on your car

I can get you some nice, fancy orange paint.. Its quite cheap as well.

Hey I have question, where do you get your supplies from? how do you layer things on there before vacuuming the part. We always have problems releasing the mold from the part.

Slip coating is VERY importan, also that the mold is nice and smooth, and polished helps a lot..I'm using reichold products, they work brilliant.

Richhold is the thing...Going a little fast around the corners sometimes
Never tried the Megauir's stuff, but heard good things about it.. But i have felt in love with the reichhold products.

If you are using slip coating, and still having problems getting it appart, then there is either a problem with the mold, or that you're not using the slip-coat in the right way, or what do you say to that SINDRE?

Haven't done to much on my car lately since I have been working on a CF roof for a friend of me. The roof is for his Subaru Impreza Wrx.
The weight of the roof is now little less than 2kg.

Some pictures of the roof:

First layer laid up in the mold.

The car is a full racecar, and has a full roll cage that are carrying the whole car.

The front and rear of the CF roof is going underneath the front and rear windshield.
And the roof will be glued with a high strenght epoxy for aircraft use.
