My FB D.D.
I got this 84 GSL to be my DD. So far i have replaced the transmission and water pump. Fixed the leaking Omp. New tires and spark plugs. Attached the vacuum advance. That was just to start driving it.
This is how it stands now.
This is what it looked like when i first when to get it.

Thanks! Plans for this year are clean it, clean it (yes it's that bad), headers and cat, lots of little tweaks, overfenders.
Nothing major for this year. (I think lol) next year who knows.

I also wnat one of these and a matching steering wheel. I couldn't care less about the brand name but that **** is amazing. symetric and not too phallic.

The radio is the bin because a modern black radio would not match the interior. I needed a cd player with a aux input. Modern electronics do not match the 80's interior.
The antenna is slanted RIGHT.
The wheels were extremely corroded. Two of the wheels had little hope of polishing up.

Have RX-7, will restore
iTrader: (91)
if you get the right radio, it will match decently well and the install will be fairly clean. i installed this Alpine unit in my 85. i chose it because of the color changing interface. had several colors to choose from but the obvious choice for me was orange:

Your radio does match. I had that radio left over from the 944.
I was just tring to explain that i had a reason in choosing the bin location. I wasnt being lazy. i also took the time to replace all of wring to the speakers. i ran the wire to my phone into the center console i adjust the volume from there. Baring a power failure i never have to open the bin and the entire install is hidden. I use google music and have acess to all of my music.

I made a list of my current plans. This for just for now. More performance related plans will have to wait till after the 944 and FD.
Remove side molding.
something like these overfenders.
http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/7BSA02/50-1562
Medium dark wood shift **** and wheel.
Brown leather shift boot.
Remove emblems.
Body match the door handles.
Repaint the trim where it is becoming chrome.
Something like this to replace the fusible links. (Should be easier than redoing the ENTIRE fuse box on the 944)

Get rid of anything that isn't necessary in the engine bay.
this is just for now
