Thanks Ray!

Christmas came early this year .

Got her back today. Car looks amazing. Pics don't do it justice. I'm thinking molding will stay off. It looks real clean.

Very pleased with it.

I also forgot how fast this car is. No traction to the top of 3rd gear in a straight line made me smile lol.

Thanks guys! It definitely looks real clean without the molding. I just worry about door dings. My car will probably stay in the garage more than before now because of the new paint lol.

I ordered a Grimmspeed manual boost controller today. I've done a lot of reading up on it. Going to other forums and reading reviews, comparisons, etc. I've yet to find a bad remark on this particular manual boost controller. There looks to be other great manual boost controllers like forge, hallman, buscher and others. I like the grimmspeed the most though.

http://www.grimmspeed.com/catalog/pr...roducts_id=165

I hope to have the wastegate screamer pipe rerouted back into downpipe, and tuned for 10-12 psi next week.

Main reason i'm adding the boost is to compensate for any power loss I see from rerouting the wastegate(if we do see power loss)... and 300rwhp would be nice to say in a little dinky FB

I hear you Ray. I'll have to bring her to whiv5 and see what everyone says to leave it or put them on. lol

Wired the tachometer up. Working now. Don't think it reads perfect, but accurate..

What is the secret to getting the gooey molding off? I'm removing it as well -- for fender flares.

I didn't take the molding off. I let the paint shop do it all. If your taking them off and not repainting the car it won't look good at all underneath. Mine looked horrible underneath and all stuck to the paint. I've heard people talk about those molding erasers or something?

Well, I'm not so much concerned about what the car looks like right now, just trying to get it rolling. The black adhesive looks awful and I was just looking for a good way to remove it.

It's actually pretty amazing what a rotary buffer can do to 25 year old paint...

Looks so much better without the moldings. Getting over the 300 rwhp mark in a first gen is scary. I have not dynoed mine at 20psi, so I can't say for sure how much power I was making, but that scared the crap out of me. I would like to know.

Wow!!! Thank you everyone for the kind words!! It means a lot!

I think i'll agree it looks better without the molding, but i'm very concerned of door dings and I want to put molding on because of it. It will make it that much more original too, which was my original goal to keep the body looking stock as possible. It's still up in the air, but I plan to go grab the moldings that are still at the shop any day now.

Thanks Ben. No worries.

WHIV5 was great! Lots of great cars and better people! Good to always meet new people and see the local faces and people I haven't seen in years or only at sevenstock. I also won a jumpstart battery pack in the raffle! woohoo!

Yesterday, May 20th, marked the 6th year i've owned this car.

A pic I took of her after the event with the trophy.
