my 81 widebody rebuild
so the story goes something like these i found this car on ebay after searching for my first car for months and instantly fell in love. the guy said he had it garaged for years now with only 64,000 miles on it but that the engine might have needed a rebuild and that it always overheated on him. after i got the thing home after endless tows i find out the radiator was shot along with a bunch of vacuum leaks that would explain the power loss and the carb also seemed like it needed a rebuild. instead of doing all that i decided just to make a track car and do a 13b swap rather then the 12a. its been well over 6 months now the pictures im posting are before i started to strip the car the guy had added a back seat and also ruined the engine bay and some of the inside with some black gunk so im planning on completely stripping her down and getting a complete repaint done before putting any new parts in her.

couple of months of work and only half way threw stripping the car seeing as i rarely have time to work on it and its been kinda cold lately. got my 9k shift *** in so thought id install it just to see what it looks like, havent found many extreme rust spots as of now hoping it stays that way but i plan on painting everything flat black installing a roll cage and bucket seats and just have my dash center console and some custom cf door cards and ride with out panels or carpets. as far as engine wise choosing to stick with the 12a and just possibly running a big turbo as off now just ordered a racing beat holley kit plan on cleaning the engine up dont think it needs a rebuild seing as it only has 64k miles on it.
