made a bit of progress in the last couple days. i got my driveshaft and installed it. finished my fuel rails and installed the fittings. did quite a bit of testing with the megasquirt. Ive tested most of my sensors and so far everything seems to work great. i rigged up a way to spin the cps so i could make sure it sync'd and see if i need to make adjustments on the pots. i got an rpm signal that seemed right and it stayed sync'd til 5k (as fast as i was gunna spin it with the dremal). while it was spinning i could hear my primary injectors firing as well.

Love the dremel rig lol. For your VR pots did you just turn them all the way counterclockwise? That's how I have mine set, hopefully I don't have to mess with them...
I still have to wire up my CAS and then I'm ready to rock, everything else is hooked up and everything I can test has been tested and works...
I'll be away the next few days though so methinks your car will be the first to start

lol yeah I can imagine that thing would vibrate like crazy, good test though. I was just going to simply spin it by hand to make sure it was getting a signal at all and go with that... Since I have the stims I already know it works on the bench.
I'll admit I had to fight the urge to giggle like a school girl when I saw the tps gauge move correctly on my laptop lol. It's the little things that make me happy

ok guys kinda an update.
ive been getting the car ready to start. the engine cranks, im pretty sure i have oil pressure (gauge seems funky, tops out with key on). now i just gotta get my tach signal to the MS while cranking and she should start. i got my fuel system hooked up and working great too.

Its a CP racing hood made from a stock hood, all the bracing has been cut out. It has a big scoop in the centre that looks like a TII scoop but its bigger..and 2 vents on the sides. It looks awesome and will provide tons of airflow to the TMIC. I just plan on running it until the car is finished then ill upgrade to a front mount. I've got an intercooler already just need to build the piping.

i got mine to fire a couple times but so far not running. something is causing my 150a circuit breaker to flip right before the car starts. when the engine loads up and starts to start up it flips the breaker. part of me is thinking the starter is bad cause i gotta keep beating on it lol. but the circuit breaker is getting warm/hot so maybe the starter just pulls too much current for it.
Probably pulls more than 150... guess we both tried and failed lol. I posted my MSQ in the MS forum for someone to look at. I don't even know if my basic settings are right. This is much more confusing and frustrating than I thought it was going to be...
Whaaat nice build!! Will be checking back, keep it up!! (planning on going nearly the same route in my FC- MS, vMount, FD intake,
) It's going to be a fun car when you finish!!

only update is i got a starter today. gunna go to the shop in the am and try to get it running. I had to spend today helping a friend/customer install an AEM v2 in a 89 Turbo supra. plug and play is pretty badass after spending tons of time on the ms3. 4 hrs total it was running and idling just fine.

Spent alot of time today trying to get the car to start. i think because its a fresh rebuild its making things alot more complicated for me. ive got it tuned to the point where it will be firing off on the starter and almost starting but just not quite. i think it "started" once but was only under its own power for a couple rotations of the engine. i went and bought some starting fluid today, hopefully that will help get it running. i know once i can get it to start consistantly ill be ok.
Yeah getting it to start easily and consistently seems to be the biggest problem, I'm having the same issue... To make things more difficult, my wideband needs to "warmup" for 20 seconds each time it resets so for the first 20 seconds I have no afr reading to go off of...
I'm starting to think my problems aren't with the VE table (everyone else seems to have success with Aaron's settings) and it's something in the startup settings or something...

Maybe not but just putting it out there.
I could try asking him, but he is running Alpha-N on his if I remember right because of the ITB's (not speed density like we are) and he is running a MS2/extra which has some significant differences from the MS3...
Guess it couldn't hurt though as his car seems to run really well.
Edit: Just thought about it some more, speed density vs alpha-n might not even make a difference for startup... I'll send him a pm
