well turns out the racing beat turbo manifold is to big to use w/ the hks 30 mm wastegate if anyone wants it make offers.

otherwise up date on the swap. finally got the engine and tranny in today along with the ecu and wiring harness. and the relays . Still tryin to figure out where to mount the coil packs as well

ended up cutting the top off mounting bracket off the stock gslse tranny where the the two bolts go through the cross memeber and cut off the long bolt off the TII Y bracket tranny and welded the mounting bolts to the Y bracket . and Bolted it on the tranny and then bolted the crossmember up and its good ! wish i took pics but lil day light had no time but will try post pics off it if can later tomrrow

now i gotta try to find the left side wiring harness to wire up the relays and other switchs i gotta splice and check valve for brake booster

The RTEK is for use with stock ECU, and stock ignition. If you end up using a distributor, it won't help your timing at all.

Also, you don't need to add a check valve to the brake booster. Either it has one built in,
or it's not needed. (I didn't add one)

Small world. I saw your car for the first time ever yesterday, while browsing
cardomain.

You car really does resemble the widebody SA22C from Japan. Good work!

i just cut the bolt off the Y bracket and welded that part i got off ( which u see thats whats on the trans on the pic) and welded it to the Y n fits perfect

turns out i didnt have to cut that much off in the shifter boot area like we thought we had to

I am doing the same swap to my 1985 GSL-SE, for the tranny mount I used the rubber blocks on the TII tranny mount and bolted them directly to the transmission, on the GSL-SE mount you just have to drill one hole and that's it. It took me 2 minutes to make the mount.

Really hope this one is good Josh. I'd use the stock engine if compression is good, at least all the parts match.

Looks awesome! I'll be ordering a few necessary gaskets from Atkins before I do the swap so I can take the external parts off the motor and paint it. I'll keep checking your thread here, looks like it will be a blast
