i never liked the look of the front end of my car. something was off. based on marco's recommendation, i painted the molding on the front bumper with plastidip to see how it would look. if i didn't like it, i could easily peel it off. i think it looks better now. what do u guys think?

Thanks brother, i am currently deployed and wont get back stateside till may but as soon as i get home i will start a build thred for her. I am ansious as hell to work on her.
Btw i like the bumper with the black trim.

no big update really. made a bracket to hold the license plate light. also changed oil after my 500 mile motor break-in so am now able to go to 7.5k rpm's safely...let me tell u...i did not know about the damn buzzer at the higher rpm's, scared the hell out of me!

did go to the local caffeine and octane monthly meet and parked next to the sweetest RX3 in the US (my opinion).

Rims and lugs were about $450, tires were $500, and another $100 for install so not cheap but at least not as expensive as getting a nice set of CCW's. calculate price of installing body kit, paint, etc...things start going up real quick.

I'm surprised I have not gotten any interest in my widebody as it would cost a whole lot more to get to this level. I have seen other fb's selling for not that much less but not so much things being updated/replaced/restored...though i will say that there are less widebody buyers. Oh well, if it doesn't sell, just means I get to keep it.

since i haven't received any real offers on the widebody, i've decided to start working on the REW motor. here's the motor after cleaning it up a bit. have also ordered some flanges and fittings to figure out the turbo oil drain using a 12A front cover.

the gsl-se motor will be put up for sale when i complete this install. it'll be a few months as i don't plan on rushing. it won't be cheap though as it's got new housings and bearings...u may as well buy my other REW that's here.

received the fittings and flanges.

also started going through the REW harness, labeled all needed plugs as well as verified each plug's wiring back to the two main plugs to the ECU. picked up some things to replace brittle and old harness covering/tape.

i'll be using a PowerFC.

drilled the front cover w/ the 1 1/8 hole saw bit. came out a bit larger than i wanted, should have bought the 1 inch one but welder should have no issues.

Nope, using 12a front cover and the stock GSL-SE mounting. Will then be using a FC CAS for the signal since I'm not using the REW cover, CAS, and trigger wheel.

Trying to keep it as simple as possible and I thought the PFC was the best since it should be plug and play...unfortunately, I will need to wire in plugs 1 and 2 since those are not on the engine harness. I probably could have chosen something else but am not familiar with the other ECU's other than AEM.

got my rx8 front cover gasket as well as oil seal from Atkins. trimmed the front cover gasket of the extra material not needed and installed the new oil seal. also painted the front cover. same paint will be used for the intake manifold.
