ok so after pricing out a fuel cell i decided that, but after realizing i have to install all new lines, and tones of fabrication such as cutting a hole in the floor. a local store will fix for 350$ and look like "brand new" so most likely going to do that

Do you have pics of your tank? There are places here (GTA) that will fix it up for $150-$275, but I think mine might be beyond fixing. My rust is mainly where all the connections are so those would have to be made from scratch....for sure not cheap. Maybe that's why you got a quote of $350?

and before sinking any more money into the car a kid came and offered me more then it was worth and i sold it. bought myself an fc for a new project.. still miss crusing in the FB tho.. fun car

trust me, you will forever regret selling your FB. GSL-SE's are getting more and more rare and if left in original condition and are well cared for, they are worth a premium over most any other SA or FB. the SE's engine has also been known to last over 300k miles without needing a rebuild we have many club members that have posted about their car having an original engine with over 300k miles. you may have nothing but trouble with that V8 FC and you will then curse the day you sold that Dover White GSL-SE.
