Arrow 12A rebuild or 13B swap?

Greetings. I have a 12A (90k miles) in a '79 that I'm either going to rebuild or swap out for a 13B.
Is it really worth rebuilding a 12A in terms of long term parts availability and performance? Any experienced input would be appreciated.

If your 12a parts are still good and you don't care about making more power I would rebuild 12a. If you want more power and tq I would build a 13b.

Thanks, yea that's what makes it hard - the parts, or at least the core, is good, but really wanting to build some decent power.

I would just swap to a 13b and sell the 12a stuff.

We picked up a street port 12a and temporarily put it in a REPU and my father in law could tell a big difference. He misses the 13b that was in the car.

Here is video of us picking it up and installing it in the truck.

Nice vid! And I get what you mean, as much as I'd like to keep it original I like the power options of the 13b and understand them a little more.
