13b 6-Port or Rebuild my old 12A Bridgeport???
13B 6-Port or Rebuid my 12A Bridgeport??? This is what I am trying to find out.... I have a friend that has a 13b 6-port in very good shape so I was cionsidering to get his engine because mine a 12A bridgeport started to give problems with compressions...
So can someone tell me which one is better???'
My 12A has a Holley 465cfm with RB manifold and Headers... Will this setup will work in the 13B...????
Please help me.... Or should I make a Turbo 12A???
I was wondering of putting NOS to the car but how much horses do you recommend ans which system???
Thanks for your help...

12A bridged
Rebuild the 12A, is cheaper and you will get plenty of power out of it. The 12A manifold will not fit the 13B. The 6 ports rotor housings are not compatible with early side housing due to the water seal locations. You could have the rotor housings machine to fit the seals in them, but again that is a great expense. Unles you can find a set of 84-85 SE rotor housings. Good luck.

Unless your buddy is going to give you the engine, rebuild your old 12a. I have a similar situation like you. My 13B half bridge needs rebuild, bought a used 13B engine and it turned out to smoke too much for my liking. The price I paid for that would have been half of the rebuild kit. In addition, you have to change your header.

Well, by reading the posts I can see that the 12A are loved here... I love my engine but it turns me nutts when the car wont start, so I am trying to decide what I would do with it.
The rebuild idea is great but I will have to spend like about $1,500 here in Guatemala to get the parts... so that is not nice.
For the other option we will see the 13b this weekend to know how it is working, but I will stay with the 12A, I love to kick 13B *** in the street with it...
