After a lot of thought, a phase where I almost decided to unload the car (as someone who shall remain nameless offered a tidy some for it). I've decided to give it one more go.

Although, I've decided to change shops that I'm working with since IRP failed to live up to the promises they made me when I first started the project with them. Additionally, they decided to hold money they owe me hostage because I was "running my mouth" by telling a handful of people the negative opinion I have of them based on my experience.

A lesson I've learned from dealing with them is that any work I request and or am I'm going to be provided will need to be in writing which probably shouldn't have been a lesson, its more my own stupidity for not requesting this in the first place.

That said we're changing direction a little bit. Considering the previous build couldn't even get tuned at 15lbs we're going to subscribe to the KISS theory this time around. I'm dropping the waste-gate spring to 12ish lbs, removing the boost controller and just letting her rip there. We'll keep the injection at the elbow but scrap the pre-turbo tiny nozzle I was going to had. (Anyone need a secondary injection AEM kit in mint condition? ) My original goal was that I wanted to track it... any power above and beyond that was a novelty so I could hit up the drag-strip once or twice a year. In hind sight that was a dumb idea and I wish I hadn't talked myself into it and that someone would have tried to talk me out of it. As a result I bought a ton of high quality parts that are a bit overkill for what I'm looking to do but should now result in a very reliable setup.

I'm likely going to need new tires and the Tein Super Racing definitely needs a re-tune.

After that its off to the body shop to repair the damage to the drivers front fender from the hit and run while it was in IRP's possession (this is where they owe me money from).

Work hasn't begun yet... waiting till after the holidays and everything has calmed down a bit to start but I think we have a good plan in place. This should be the least complex work on the engine yet so I'm cautiously optimistic I'll have a broken in quality build by early Spring. Which should be leaps and bounds better than what I've been dealing with since July of 2012.

I'm confused.

IRP owes you money from a hit and run? That doesn't make sense. If the car was insured your insurance company should take care of it. It's regardless of who's possession it was in based on a hit and run.

If someone was driving it, that's a different story. But for a hit and run, your insurance should take care of it.

I'm assuming you want IRP to fit the bill for that because the car was uninsured because you decided to throw money on a bunch of parts and figured it was going to be down for a while and thought you might as well not cover it. Comprehensive insurance (which would cover a hit and run) on my FD in storage, is $20/month.

Regardless of what's going on with your car, always have it insured.

Your assumptions are wrong. The car has had insurance the entire time.

However, when the car was hit they pulled the video from their lot and found out it was Carquest that delivers for them who hit it. My understanding at the time was that the company fired the driver and asked to pay for it themselves (I'm guessing to avoid having to report it to their insurance). I agreed to the estimate price that was provided and supposedly the company sent IRP a check for the amount. At the time I had been planning on having additional work done at the shop so I just left the money with them thinking it would go towards future bills. This is around May 6th of this year. In early July we had a falling out. According to Ihor he mailed me a check for the remaining balance on 8/13 but never told me he was sending it. I found this out on Nov 19th when I asked for the money, however now I'm being told I'm "in the negatives on my priority list" and that he'll get around to it whenever he feels like it.

You know that explanation makes it sound as if you owe IRP money.....
