To be honest I dont think it was bad at all, but that's comparing it to the fuel damper. I dont have any emmisions so a lot of the hoses are not there. I never really verified that everything is hooked up properly as the car runs really good. The turbo transition is kind of coarse, but strong.
Someday I should check it out.

gotcha.

I wanted to keep emission stuff and didn't want to tackle on the work myself so I sent it off to a shop to do. What do you mean the transition is coarse?

I bought new oem solenoids, new engine harness, check valve and hoses so I hope everything on mine works like it should.

I get a solid 11-11.3 spike then holds 10.5-10.8ish till around 4500. Then the boost drops around 9 and hammers it back to around 10.8 solid till redline. So the dip and activation of the 2nd turbo seems harsh.. feels cool but when cornering hard on throttle she has wanted to kick the *** around a couple times and I had to compensate.... cool problem to have in a way, but makes me wonder how it will be when I crank her up to 13 lol.

Update. All back together. Rotary Performance fuel rail is awesome. Very nice fit with minimal mods. I will attach pic. Did a leak test and nothing. I put her together and what happens..... fuel in the ground. Damn. I think it is just flooded since I had the secondaries out for 2 weeks or so.
I accidentally pulled out the wires from the plug of the idle valve thing (dont ask how) The white plug under uim that is on the same harness as the TPS plug. So I have to remove uim again. I will double check for leaks. I will pull plugs and go through some deflood procedures.

What is the benefit of the new rotary performance rail vs FFE?

Uses all stock equip. For me it was the simplest solution. I had to cut a couple unused vac ports (1 min with a hacksaw) and bolt her in.
Compared to the old rail I guess it is suppose to fit a little better and look a lot better.

So cranked her up when I got home. She was reluctant to Start and reluctant to hold a decent idle at first. She started cleaning up a it, but these plugs are pretty fouled. So we will see how she is with new plugs or cleaning these. I ordered 2 sets to have another on standby and will probably clean these when I get around to it.
Will be excited to see how she runs. I will probably turn the boost controller down as I after the vacuum hose job I dont known if it will respond the same. Ar least I should have more than enough fuel now.

I have to clean up some wiring and a couple more things, but she is starting to look decent!

Plugs in and she is running strong again.
A couple problems.
1. Water temp seemed slight erratic at first drive, but seems ok now. Not sure if I trust it though. I may look into swapping sensor. Finally she stayed on 85°c. She may had some air or something in there fro thermostat opened.
2. Idle. She is idling ok, but not as smooth before. Not sure if pfc needs to relearn. I didnt have the opportunity when I first cranked her with new map because it was flooded to begin with.
3. Injector duty said 75% at 10.5 psi 7200rpm. Sounds kind of odd considering it is only about 5-10% different than before. She does seem to run a little more rich. I will take her out on I95 tonight and verify through the rev range and slot turn her up to around 12-13psi if looking ok.

Other than that she feels damn good again.

This is max on pfc with multiple 2nd 3rd gear pulls.

Every time I turned the boost up a tiny bit on each first pull it would start choking up after letting up off the throttle. Every pull after it was fine. I know this tune is very rich, but I just though that was odd. Now all seems fine.

Temp was 68°f outside.

Its the 3rs gen life

Just got done reading your build. You look like you have had some bumps and are still trying to get this car figured out. I do a few bolt on and maintenance stuff but my car is in Central Florida. It goes back in forth between Cam at Pettit Racing and Jesus at Kilo Racing. Both shops are trust worthy and depeding on my needs is depending where thd car goes. Engine, single turbo, fuel delivery, ignition(Kilo) everything elso including cooling(Petit). I have had great sucess with this combo. I run 850 primary injectors and 1600 injectors on a custom fuel rail. My car is a 93 touring but i added another oem oil cooler. For hot Fl i run a 6262 1ar turbo twin scroll and to keep the temps cool i use a re-vmount. Petit racing intercooler is usually pretty good for what i have heard. I noticed that you dont use Pettit Racing two stroke oil. I dont either but i will be making a trip down there just to buy some. I do premix though. I work on my stuff a little but when it gets to complex its always good to get someone with a lot of experience in my opinion. I was on the same boat as you this year. Paint or suspension. I bought some ohlins and then i could not take it anymore and had it painted. I do not regret it at all. The car looks so damn good its crazy. I am now trying to put the money together to do the rest of the suspension. I have owned this car in Fl since 98 and i have done it all wrong once and now it has been done right. Its so relieable that it even blows me away. Knock on wood. Lol. The biggest advice i give is dont take your car anywhere else that is not those two shops. Trust me i have been there. Oh and be careful when you do get your car painted. Mine was taken for a joy ride many years ago and they blew my motor. Stories are endless trust me. Good luck and enjoy her. Please feel free to ask me any questions about fd ownership in Fl

Thanks for checking in. I use Pettit's premix. I have some Idemitsu also, but still have a jug and a half left of Pettit. I run Castrol GTX 20w50 for the oil.
I am curious to what your coolant temps are on avg down here. Mine are a little warmer than I would like to see. I may purchase a Mishimoto radiator and do another flush on the system. I have an unknown aluminum in there now. I will probably get a Seibon KS hood and am still on the fence for water/meth inj.
. The 2200cc injectors are working out good, but a tune wouldn't hurt as she is pretty rich right now. I am running about 12.5psi.

Temps

On hot summer days i see between 175-190. 190 on very hot days sitting in traffic for long period of times. Once i get going it drops very fast. At over 100 its nice and cool at about 175-180. The vmount is ducted and really works well. Single turbo helps also with heat. No vented hood either had one and hated it. Went back to the oem. I have an extra oem hood that i may put vents for cooling if the oem cant handle the temps at the track. The car is almost ready for uts first trackday. Just trying to restore the suspension and get a big brake kit first.

So changed out tranny fluid with RL MT90 today and rear diff with RL 75w90. The tranny fluid was just because I wanted to go straight synthetic. She was changed not even 500 miles ago. This was the 3rd fluid since rebuilt less than 1500 miles ago.
The diff. I had no idea what to expect, but the fluid was clean coming out, so I was very happy.
Changed oil again a few days ago. First time after she was flooded after 1st start with new injectors.
Sourcing a 4.30 gear now for the diff to change out the 3.90.
I have a caliper rebuild kits coming and caliper paint. So that will probably be next on the list.
in the mid 70s down here today. Had her out and coolant temp never got over 87°c. Oil temp on I95 cruising at 75 off boost got down to 159°f. That is actually a little too cool... hmmm. Temp came up after getting on her a bit of course. Just a couple notes to self.

Some people here give negative feedback about RL and other synth transmission fluid. Do report your experience.

Will do. I missed the negatives some how. Only heard good things for the MT90. I will keep you posted if I see or feel anything odd.

I also forgot to say I adjusted my idle afr. It is now at 12.5 and I may go a little more lean. Recieved datalogic today also!!
