I have a 13B DCT conversion kit for later down the road when an REW conversion takes place, different chassis for competition use. The CD009 is just to provide drivetrain reliability on the current test mule chassis.
They have their own issues though. Hoping by then things are a bit more settled on the electronics and such. Haven’t invested in those or the DCT itself yet.
Ok, fam. I lucked into a set of mu-len mazdaspeed seat brackets. Now we just have to find a nice set of the black mazdaspeed seats...And avoid buying the black rz kevlar buckets I probably wouldn't fit in, anyways. One side from Australia, one side from Denmark.

2. I put some of my "coolest" stuff on one of my most useless shelves. Synergy.
3. @GoodfellaFD3S hooked me up with the GReddy front bar, to match my GReddy rear bar, to match my GReddy hatch. OG Triple. Got more plugs than a surge protector.
(I would never replace these with the perfect MS bar set, and I don't know why you asked. Very rude, sir.)
4. I also really like colorful, useless, period correct seatbelt pads. GReddy all the things.

1. Remember the Ikeya formula part-shifter I got? I really wanted it for this straight handle.
Managed to switch the levers (as suspected, these handles are swappable).
Wow the straight one is a big improvement for me. Now I just need to figure out what **** to use. I have a longer ikeya style one (seen previously). Or, a big purple crystal one? Or, a beer tap? Ya buddy.
2. I got my parole officer a pretty-nice SLR for xmas (like entry-level, camera's get serious fast)

Shift ***** for Sequenshifter are a pain because they dont use any standard shift **** thread.
There are some industrial machine ***** that fit, but I didnt find any sporty looking ones (go figure).
I bought a helicoil kit with the Sequenshifter threads so I could convert any **** by drilling it and inserting the helicoil.
The latest I got is NRG baton which is adjustable length. Plan is to cut down the aluminum threaded insert so I have a nice light hollow CF shift ****.
I dislike NRG as they are knock-off company. I might deface it in other ways before installing. I think the hollow drilled Wevo ***** look cool.

Bummer! I noticed it wasn't normal thread, but was hoping it was common in some other world. It comes with that adapter stud, maybe I can get a machine shop to make an adapter to a better thread type? Or, maybe there's one out there? I gotta drink more beers to figure stuff like that out.
In the meanwhile, I threw the other, longer Ikeya handle on there just to try it. Looks fun. Haven't driven it yet. I liked the short one fine. Maybe I can wrap this in hockey grip tape and make it look like a sword handle? Beers.
In other news, the car hasn't gotten out much for a while because
1) I'm a slow mechanic, and that's kind of me to say
2) Smog, not to be confused with Smaug though both have been slain now
3) The Jabronis who balanced my wheels and tires really boned it up
Anyways, a much more regular tire and wheel place did a much more regular job of balancing the tires on my less regular car.
Although, this fella had a less confident experience with the final-boss shifter. That's on me.
So, now we just wash it. Go on the big drive. Take some pictures (and some emergency equipment). And, pray.
And, since we're talking about beer. I just wanted to mention the best beer of them all. Miller High Life. Which, is the Champagne of Beers. And, if you didn't know Champagne is basically the Beer of Wines. So, they know their ****.

Had a great time at the rally. Met lots of cool folks with awesome rides. Car ran great all day. Lots of pictures to sort through. I'll be sure to share.
1. Loaded up the night before. Took a ton of tools, just in case something came loose on the big shakedown. Nothing did. This time...
2. Fueled up. I run on ethanol, but the car doesn't yet.
3. Rode around with some cool cars almost as fast as I wanted to, and very nearly didn't get lost on the way. Next time, copilot promised to deliver concise AND condescending pro-rally-style driving instructions.
These extremely precise gauges will let you know the exact moment you need to re-plan your financial future. Down to the millisecond.

It rained a little bit in the morning. There were about half a dozen FD's and a few RX-8's at the meet. All cool people, some from here too.
By mid-morning, the weather was nice. And, we ended up at the raceway paddocks. Some serious hardware was out there.
I took a bunch of pictures, but like 10% of them are good enough to share. I think I have some more.
But, for now check out some of the cool rides that were out there. Looking forward to doing more similar stuff!

Need to get the dash out, re-do the radio, set up the wheel and hub, re-do the suspension, start planning the motor overhaul, avoid expensive distractions. No big deal.
Sorry, your car is just not complete until you do this to your rear fenders. I feel like it will compliment the wagon nicely, unfortunately hiding your MS-02 in the rear.
Random question, I'm trying to build a square setup of MS-02. Taking 4 rear wheels at 9"+38.
Tons of threads on tire fitment, always lots of contradictions with some saying it works and some saying a role is needed. Mine are already rolled so not a problem.
But curious, do you think your rears would fit on your front without issue?
The people I've seen do it say that it works no problem. It's not an aggressive front fitment, but I suspect you'd want a roll and to tuck the fender wire harness higher (if you want to run low-ish or drive real hard).
Depends on the tires and spring rates kindof, too. I suspect you'd run 255's all around? Stiff springs keep the rubs away too.

Getting everything out was a pretty big PITA, but finally got the new carpet in. Found a buttload of change under the old carpet.
No more holes! Now I'm just working my way back out, and hope to have some quick progress soon.
Definitely going to be rocking floor mats, and in the market for some new seats.

Whoa! Blast from the past. When I did that swap, it was using a nice stock tan carpet I got from another member.
For the non-oem carpet, I hear it actually fits nicely if you have some padding/foam and are handy with a cutting tool. IIRC, people said cutting it down the middle helped.
Been slacking on my forum game. Been enjoying the car. Took it to show at Radwood Norcal, where we had an awesome time checking out cool rides and meeting great people.
We were totally stoked and surprised to win Raddest Import. We're getting out to more shows, and I'll eventually post up some more photos and progress.
Ooo. Almost forgot. Located and installed the old school MS seats I was dreaming of.
Sorry for the crappy pic (makes it look like there's a spot on the driver's side). But, they're pretty flawless, considering the vintage. I liked the base seats a lot (keeping them boxed up, just in case), and I was worried these wouldn't be as comfy. But, after putting some miles in them, they're plenty comfortable and supportive. I heard they sit higher, but I sit fine in the car even though I'm a relatively tall person. My biggest gripe is that the recline adjustment is hard to reach, while seated. But it's mostly set it and forget it, once you're comfy.
I still look at the black Recaro RZ seats on sale, but I'm not sure I'm skinny enough to fit in them. It's so hard to find a nice matching pair of the RZ seats, too. My better half really likes the gaudy livery on these old MS Mu-Len seats (so do I, it's why we got them). Just too cool. We had a shot at some other seats, but she approves none but these, so far.
So, unless we totally change directions with the car (have another build concept in my mind, but we're not done with this one by any stretch), I think these are my forever seats.

After Radwood Norcal, we went to a Radhause car show (no affiliation of radness, I think...).
In any case, there were lots of cool rides and people there, too. Different scene and setting.
I feel like it was hard to get good photos in the underground garage, but also I'm still not a very good photographer (yet!).
Need to click buy on the next round of parts and maybe sell some of the parts hoard which wouldn't or couldn't be used with me. Trying to send neat/rare/strange parts back into the community at reasonable prices, when I have the chance. It's hard to let go!
