All I can say is holy SXXX! You either have a lot more dedication or love for the FD than most. I couldn't imagine trying to salvage one that far gone.

With that said, it looks like it is in the right hands and is quickly going in the right direction.

What is your end-goal? Track car or street? Drift machine?

GOOD LUCK!

Vince

WTF!?!?!? Just making a car reliable with mods is enough of a headache, can't imagine what this ball of burnt metal will be. Hope you have lots of funds and patience to sort out parts. You already have skills and tools, maybe not too much common sense, but neither do I owning an RX7. LOL Good luck, you will need it.

I'd be pretty wary of the glue lines that hold the chassis together... they don't do great once you expose them to fire, even if they look ok. Have you tried putting some warp load into it to see if it can handle driving at 1-2g loads?

i dont even know how to respond through all of your comments
the biggest problem in putting this back together are parts
a local junkyard has all the parts but you know they want more money so i will just be patient in building this trying to get lucky on craigslist
i have time to work on this at least 2 to 3 hrs a day so its good its not a priority i will eventually sandblast this but not now money is tight i just need to gather all the major parts
first
right now i havent decided yet if its gonna be a track car im leaning towards that cause its gonna take forever putting everything back

so tonight i worked a little bit removing the sound deadning on the transmission tunnel
too late for some noises like power tools or hammering
rx7 tonight by nakahachi, on Flickr

rx7 tonight1 by nakahachi, on Flickr

another job done cool

Did you get it for free? That is a lot of work, are you looking to restore it of sorts or just a modified machine?

Cool

I couldn't get over the crazy attempt to even try fix this into a track car.
Even at free, I would have pass on it.
You my man, are INSANE, but I like your determination into making it work.
Keep posting your progress.
You are an inspiration and I will think of you, when I have simple issues, by comparison, with my car.
