I so hope you're putting a turdo on it..

My Mx6 has a F2T.. 2.2 sohc 12v turbo. Making around 250-280 hp (depending on the weather) sure is good fun through FWD.

Or are you just having a laugh?

P.S. Those FE twin cams have bad head cracking problems. They crack under the exhaust seat every time.

This should be interesting...
Seriously though, with all you've managed already (and with your tight budget), why not a rotary instead?? Surely you, of all people, could manage a solid rebuild on the cheap.

ermmmm....its KIA, not mazda
I dunno...I just cant understand someone looking at a KIA suv motor and going "man, id love to chuck that engine in the 7"

I feel like a dick..but OP we need to change your mind about this. You have done so much great work..don't give your car a lifeless grocery-getter engine. If you intent to turbo it, then by all means; please proceed

Maybe you could clean the KIA engine up a bit and sell it for a profit?

For educational purposes about this engine

Solomiata : Interchange : FE3 motor

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_F_engine

My mind is set on this engine
I was really planning to install a 2j but I wanted it to be all mazda
im not shooting high horsepower which i cant use on the street. im not into drag racing either

car will be a stroker 2.2 boosted with itb's for sure

i havent seen an fe3 on a fd yet
so i will try it. It will be a challenge

my gt35r t3 is good to go

I often wonder if the K series would be a good compromise to swap into the FD (for the Mazda purists). While V-6s tend to get little love, there is the shortness of the engine and turbo if you're inclined, it surprises me to not have run across any. Are there any FDs with 6's in them?

It looks like the car is for sale on Craigslist so I don't think we are going to be getting any more updates.

93 rx7 chasis for drifting or race best offer posted 16 days ago. I'd be pissed if I gave him parts for free.

Yeah, it's a shame. This build had potential.
