Nice, very cool to see that you still have this car. Remember following this thread many year ago.
Thanks Johnny - I hope our paths cross soon so I can meet you and see your 4 rotor beauty in person
Just hit 21 years of ownership on my FD back in May - crazy how time flies
RX-7Club related topic recommendation sent me down memory lane with a thread from August 2006 (3.25 years into ownership)

I recommend reconsidering your choice of hose clamps. I used similar worm gear clamps when I switched to silicon coolant hoses with my v-mount. They loosen up frequently from heat cycles. I got tired of having to check them regularly and switched to Breeze constant pressure hose clamps which hold clamping force far more reliably. https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati.../#post12452659
I still use OE constant tension spring style clamps on stock rubber hoses. They work perfectly.
Is the alternator an IRP upgrade? If yes, Might want to swap it out before it gives you trouble, they have a high failure rate. I went through 2 before switching to another option, and lots of posts on here about issues.
Thanks Jake - all credit where credit is due on the inconel to Shawn Christianson
The wraps were definitely an easier add on with the initial turbo kit build versus trying to solve for it on the backend (plus my take on it wouldn't have been nearly as clean)
My EFR 8374 kit is 8-years old at this point, and I am not sure how popular the shorty IWG manifold is these days, but anyone going that route coupling it with an Xcessive LIM (still attainable these days?) and Inconel wrap on the LIM and manifold will find that space is limited
Elliott did call this out but we didn't realize how far off it was
I will have an update on my NJ round trip shortly
Spoiler alert - it will have crank it up to 11, stage four braaap symphonics!
Popped in and scoped out some of the newer details I have only seen in pictures
Still need the locksmith to come out to redo the mechanisms & tumblers, cut the new keys, and I need to take out some DNU items from there when it's back in my garage
You can see one of the driverside fire suppression nozzles (blue for interior) will be pointed at me (by the steering column) with the other one (pictured on the floor in it's bracket) to be mounted close by (TBD)

Getting the fuel level sender sorted
The rain light mount looks good in person, and a note to self on grabbing 2 to 3 clevis-ended strut rods to tighten up that rear diffuser
To the engine
Oil pedestal with oil pressure and oil temp sensors
Battery fuse block to replace the last jump box, power steering cooler line, and catch can line
MAC 3 port boost control solenoid, blow off valve block off plate to run the RSQV, and FFE idler pulley
I'll wait until the RS Pro 3's go in to run the reservoir disconnect lines through here
They're going to look sharp / be sharp (wrap and protect those wires!). Dirty girl is still dirty! Pressure wash before take home, and I will clean up the rest after she's back in my garage
Coolant system flush number two with some more Sierra
Dr Huk keeping an eye on the temps while we ran it for a bit
Filler to the cleaner
Evans prep fluid fill one
Getting the LMS-EFI to talk to the Elite 2500 to the Haltech Accessories to the AiM MXG
There’s progress, i am happy to hear that things are finally starting to look good.
I dont know enough about the evans to be honest but i do prefer the old fashioned ethelyne glycol coolant instead as we did say in private. Keep us posted!!
I saw the pic of washing the overflow tank. I thought you didn't need overflow when running Evan's? That would save you from cutting your carbon wheel cover if true.
Edits to above posts:
- Rich and I have 9660 AP 5000R's (not 9661 noted) - there is a difference in pistons, with the plan to balance it out with rear 9451's (as opposed to similar balance 9661/9450, shifting front to rear)
- That was the overflow tank in the cleaner, not the filler
There is no expansion with waterless coolant, so I think you may be right Collin on possibly being able to ditch the overflow tank
I am new to Evans NPG, so I am going to keep the overflow for the first iteration
As of now, my hypothesis is that there will be none to very little coolant ever hitting here
I am with you on my limited knowledge of a waterless coolant system as well Costas
On paper, I like it and have been burnt over the decades with conventional coolant
Brand new engine with no heat pocket / overheated imperfections, now's the time to try I suppose
Pessimistic to realistically, I am going to find the limit of this new cooling system out on track. I am currently limited to Koyo radiator, upgraded water pump, and water jacket modification, stock fans, FC thermostat, and AST delete with the now new Evans waterless coolant
Trial and error, we'll see how it goes and may need an EWP, new fans, or ?
1 gallon Klotz Techniplate on order, and as much as I love the JP3 driverside storage unit premix setup, I have made my own kit using some Hünersdorff pieces for 1oz/gallon
Fun little picture of that one time I overheated out on Monticello - I have had my own fun trial and error on conventional coolant out on track and autocross courses over the decades
Why not try something new?!

and some results from AEM on why I added the solenoid, V3 nozzle, and filter to my kit
I'd double check this, but I thought with Evan's you don't run a pressure cap, so theoretically it would be impossible for any fluid to get to your over flow tank, and therefore could delete it. But it's been a while since I researched Evan's conversions, so definitely make sure. I thought Rich ran Evan's for a long time, so I imagine he can just tell you from real life experience.
