haha i questioned the time at first then i just hit 181 without a tach last week. I just posted a dyno video of the 3 rotor. We detuned it from that for reliability in the desert. about 860 whp.

The 4 rotor is progressing nicely. Slow A F, but progress nonetheless. The entire drivetrain is in. Ill get pics of it out of the chassis, its just beautiful. Finishing the rest of the tube chassis finally.

Still waiting on a machinist to install snap rings in the rotors. Paid for the service in August and have yet to receive snap rings. We will be dynoing the engine outside of the car. Partially for BHP insanity and partially to measure how much the drivetrain robs horsepower.

I could live with the furai look...

This project is getting so far away from an FD that you might as well call it something else.

I always wished I had an engine dyno for my own experimentation. Can't wait to see the results!

Oh yea, did you get your 4 rotor e-shaft blue-printed? Monsterbox had inconsistent phasing issues with his and his e-shaft may have come from the same place yours did if it came from New Zealand. His was + or - 5° off on each rotor loan.

Rob,

On the 20b, did you upgrade injectors from the 1050/1700 combo before the 950hp pulls?

Watched it yesterday … following for quite a while; despite all the detractors and naysayers and issues, he's made tremendous progress and I can't wait to see that thing with fenders on it rolling on the street!

Congrats on surviving the car's first big race.

In case you're thinking about Bonneville or El Mirage soon, I've heard their tech inspection is very tough. Good idea to get in touch with some experienced land speed racers before building bodywork, to avoid tumbling like the Racing Beat car did back in the day.

We should be fine once we get a few more upgrades done. I will have to look up the new rules as its been a long time( I did tech inspection over a decade ago for a big event).

Hey Rob, I have some connections down in FL with the import drag guys. They can fix all the issues you have with the hood and the body panels. Just send me a PM and we can talk!
