Brace yourselves. . .the updates are coming. . .

So after a full summer of acquiring parts and changing my mind a few times. . .I have 99% of everything that I need to finish this. . .

With me learning that my job in the arctic is done for now. . .I've all the time needed. . .I'll be going hard on the cars and getting some progress done. . .

Ah k, so today was mostly cleaning up around the garage and shop. . .then looking for parts and tools

Mocked the body panels on today. . .

D-Max hood, Pettit GT Bumper. . .

Origin front and rear overs. . .Shine Auto Side sills. . .

I'm thinking I'll go with a different size tire in the front to match the rear a little more. . .Mind the gap. . .

Shine Low-pro spoiler with roof spoiler. . .also have the street diffuser. . .that will be fitted tomorrow. . .(Thanks again Ken!)

Rear diffuser with exhaust, finish mounting the front bumper and then some cutting of the rear arches tomorrow. . .

Once the bumper is on properly I'll start with a v-mount and ducting. . .

Lol.... ”In stock”.....tuner shops out here would never have anything Fd specific. if they had anything..it'd be the fast and furious.

Heard of one that was a few hours away, went to check it out. . .glad I did. . .California car (no rust yesssss) high mileage with a freshly rebuilt motor that blew up the first day I had it. . .at the track

Water seal failed. . .but I still drove it every day, having to add a few litres of water every time I went somewhere. . .still pulled very strong for what it was. . .

Rebuilt the engine with a large streetport, RA seals and new bearings. . .kept the sequential setup for another year and threw in a Power FC.

Had to remove the exhaust. . .oem with a million holes in it kept pumping fumes in the cab, so I threw on a 4" no name. . .sounds awesome. . .

It all started with footworks. . .

Picked up some CCW classics - 18x12.5 rears and 18x10.5 fronts - rolled the rears and stretched the tires to accommodate them . . .

Was running KYB shocks with Racing Beat lowering springs for a while. . .poor thing rattled and squeaked in agony everywhere I went. . .all the bushings were shot to ****. . .so coilovers and bushings were brought in. . .

HSD Coilovers - Thanks to Autodream for the speedy delivery!

Comparing current to future setup. . .

The OEM bushings were clunking back and forth like rocks in a tin can. . .

Is that a Bengal in the back of your FD?!

Ok. . .was working on the Pettit GT bumper this morning and kept having fitment issues. . .no matter which way it was adjusted. . .The hood line does not line up left or right. . .as well as the slope of the top of the bumper is out to lunch. . .I don't know if I got a botched bumper but I wasn't really pleased with it. . .

So just for ***** n' giggles I grabbed the BN Blister bumper and tried it out. . .no cutting or anything and it lines right up. . .good on them. . .

Some friends came over and wanted to see the kit on so we played around with rims and spacers. . .this is the 18x10.5 on the front and the 18x13's rear. . .

So sunken. . .tried out a 1" spacer on the rear. . .then swapped the other 18x13 to the front with the 295/30. . .the results were sex. . .

Beast mode on one side. . .

So I'm really leaning towards the Blister kit again. . .really need to stop ******* around with body panels and more with electrical to get it running. . .

Thoughts?

Wow no clue how i missed this. I even saw a few of the pictures one of the wheel fitment threads but I never noticed that you were from edmonton, let alone that I've ran into you a few times at conroys.

I was even reading through this thread from the beginning and nothing clicked. Until i saw one pic where a fender and one of the pink wheels of one of the drift cars was showing. Then kept scrolling, and noticed that it was in fact the s.drive car i was thinking of.

Sick build! can't wait to see it all finished up.

Maybe i missed it but what are your power goals with this project?
