They're all about the same price from Mazda when I last checked

Bryan could prob find you a '99 tach a lot cheaper, though. Only issue is they are green backlit.

Started work on the two bits I've been looking forward to most for the last year, the fuel system & the engine wiring/rats nest .

I absolutely love making wiring looms haha

Here is my well baked engine loom, all labelled up:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/98724842@N07/9522111359/http://www.flickr.com/photos/98724842@N07/9522111359/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/98724842@N07/, on Flickr

Sourced all new plugs for the loom (Save for one ecu block).
Going to make a new one, customising it to my needs

Here is the stock rats nest..
http://www.flickr.com/photos/98724842@N07/9522110875/http://www.flickr.com/photos/98724842@N07/9522110875/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/98724842@N07/, on Flickr
http://www.flickr.com/photos/98724842@N07/9522110555/http://www.flickr.com/photos/98724842@N07/9522110555/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/98724842@N07/, on Flickr

And here is what I'm keeping of it...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/98724842@N07/9522110541/http://www.flickr.com/photos/98724842@N07/9522110541/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/98724842@N07/, on Flickr

Infact I'm not even keeping that much, all the bracketry is going as I'm going to fab up a custom mount for the remaining solenoids. I've also made ally pressure & vacuum tanks that sit together in the stock coil location. Pics of that when they're back from anodising

Removed solenoids will be kept incase of future failures (As they're interchangeable)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/98724842@N07/9524893700/http://www.flickr.com/photos/98724842@N07/9524893700/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/98724842@N07/, on Flickr

All solenoids have been tested with a minivac while being powered by only 9v. As they run at 12v, this proves they're all well within spec

I was going to go gold...Until I noticed the silver I have is rated for 100f higher...So silver it is

Still need another coat on the silver, but you get the idea

Rest of the car looks great, too.

Gordon
Thanks Gordon, the ABS is actually in pieces again as I wasn't happy with it. The main bolts are getting zinc plated, as is all the silver fixing hardware. The wiring has been tidied and the cable ties are now black, looks much better .

I do have a set of spirit r front calipers & rear mounts also, but shamefully they will not fit in my RB02 wheels. When I change wheels in the future, they'll go on .

The spirit r gauge...I'm surprised I haven't seen it done before, I tested it mounted up to the gauge hood and I think it looks really cool. It highlights the tach above the rest . A lot of modern prestige cars seem to change the colour of the tach to yellow or red, that's where I got the idea.

I did consider a different solution for the solenoids. But most seemed to take up more space & I really want the system to be as compact as possible. That and I can easily get spares for the stock solenoids . I think you'll like the vacuum tanks, they're in your style . I really disliked the stock plastic ones

Front calipers practically finished, just need the bolts to come back from plating.

Did some work on the front harness this eve.

Removed all un-needed wiring, plugs, relays etc:

Redundant plugs:
