I'm curious, why did you run 12g cable to the fronts?
I'm planning on redoing my stereo soon and I really didn't want to run all new cable but use the existing wiring, since it's just speaker cable.
My audio guy had a really good idea so I wouldn't have to, run RCA cables from the head unit to a small 4 channel amp and then run a patch harness from the amp to the OEM head unit connector so I could power all the speakers with the amp but not have to run new wires.

I did similar regarding the amp, I used an Alpine KTP-445A, which sits in the headunit loom and fits own the side of the headunit. There is "just" enough space for it there .

If it'd solve the bass issue then I can drop it in .
The Blitz sits quite far back in the bay, so doesn't create that much longer pipe work than a VMIC, so shouldn't affect response too much.
But mainly, I just like the look and integration of the Blitz FMIC, it fits so well in the FD bay, comes with brackets for mounting the relay box etc & doesn't require any long term mods .
This car will be primarily for road use, with the odd track day a couple of times a year .

Picked up another UIM as I've decided to not go the polished route and couldn't really bring myself to paint over my polished one that I'd thrown days of work into.

Got some other bits done, engine is ported and painted, hoping to assemble it sometime within the next month (Waiting on bits to be delivered). Also got some interior work done, pics to follow.

The TB was disassembled for the painting and all the plastic inserts in the throttle linkage we're replaced with new parts as they had yellowed and gone brittle.
I did think about chroming the throttle linkage, but thought it may have been a little too much... The lift eye and throttle cable bracket will be chromed.

Thanks! I'm quite pleased with how they came out. Again, everything looks great!

Thanks! Done the turbo compressor wheel wrinkle black also, seems to be a durable finish.
Quick test fit to see how much space I have between the turbo and LIM etc:

Nice bit of kit & saves me tapping a banjo bolt for my oil pressure sensor .
Also picked up a set of their braided brake & clutch lines, no excuse not to fit the calipers now :

Managed to locate a passenger tilt rail in Japan. My passenger seat had some home brew rail that I didn't trust, it also raised the rear of the seat a little, making headroom an issue. So I'm glad that ones now solved, its hard to find these for sale as a single unit these days.

Fitted the Mazdaspeed rear brace. It stands out like a sore thumb, reflecting light and blinding people as they walk past . Going to get it annodized black to make it blend in better.

Been busy working on other cars recently, boring dailys & fixing my sisters vw that decided to throw its cambelt at 70mph, totalling the valves and pulling the tensioner stud out of the ally head.
So yeah, I haven't really touched the car in a while. Kinda lost the love for a bit and tbh I considered breaking it for parts.
Decided to finish it now, all parts have been bought to complete the build. Some big packages on the way from Banzai & Atkins .
Disks to go with the RZ/Spirit calipers arrived a few weeks back, Project Mu's:

Hopefully the engine rebuild parts and all the other bits will arrive this week, so assuming all goes to plan I can crack on and assemble the block this weekend .
