I was trying to enjoy this thread for what it should have been "Herblenny's fd" but now it's just a **** on Gordon/David Hayes fest. I did a quick check and Gordon hasn't posted anything in over a month and you guys are still at it?

And that video is completely childish. I can't believe some grown *** person created something like that just to try to humiliate another forum member. No class!

T-Von, so the quote below which slanders me, my event, and belittling those who fairly won best of show and gotten features, is what 'class' is?

I know you haven't attended DGRR, but if you believe what Gordon stated, I'm guessing you will never attend?

"Phil hates David Hayes and myself, because we caught them cheating on the DGRR car show in 2011. It was rigged for Rich (goodfella) to win best of show and we caught them at it. I try to be polite for the community's sake, but...

Gordon"

Hi Phil. As we discussed this week and as I stated immediately when this became an issue, I do not concur with what Gordon posted. I'll say it again, I have no knowledge of anyone cheating at the car show nor have I ever made the claim. I have pm'd the mods and you, called Rich and now you also (thanks for your time), and have asked to have my name removed from what was written. There is simply no other way for me to respond to what someone else wrote. Gordon will need to do that for himself.

Regarding DGRR, I have consistently stated over the years (search my posts) that it is the best event on the East coast and is a "must do" for rotor heads. Many others do much more than me for sure, but in my small way I have helped each year, including last year organizing the Friday caravan (went out a week early and spent a Sunday driving the route and then organized the lunch which was like herding cats ), contacting and securing the Jackson County Sheriff for the safety lecture, negotiating a group discount at the Microtel and setting up a nice car wash stand for everyone that stayed at the hotel, serving as the intermediary for issues with the Microtel (discounts messed up and parking problems), helping with parking at the car show, and leading those that were not familiar with the area (including SBG customers) to and through the Tail of the Dragon. I hope my actions illustrate my feelings and commitment to the event and to the community in general.

Finally, regarding the video, if it was posted to represent factual information about me, then note there is nothing correct in what was put together. Nothing. My advice to the poster would be to consider the impact on his business based on the perception others will draw from him posting this up.

Thanks and I hope the community can come back together to be a civilized place. Life is definitely too short.

I'm not saying you don't have a right to be upset about the comment. But as adults, you take the higher road and move on. Everyone else who is jumping in is just edging things on. There's two sides to every story and Gordon hasn't posted to defend himself on the matter in over a month and some of you guys are still at it. Now for the most part, when forums go way off topic, the OP is usually the one that trys to regain order. That's not happening here. You may as well retitle this thread if this keeps up. I never have but I want to attend the next DGRR event. Would it really be worth my time to drive half way across the country to meet up with a some of the negative guys on this thread who attend on a regular bases??? Where suppose to be a family here.

Now the no class part was in reference to who created that video.

Anyhow, What did Gordon say to me??

"Phil hates David Hayes and myself, because we caught them cheating on the DGRR car show in 2011. It was rigged for Rich (goodfella) to win best of show and we caught them at it. I try to be polite for the community's sake, but...

Gordon"

And whom organized the event that was covered in Modified Magazine where I was on the cover?? Ahh.. That's right.. Hayes and Gordon.

And what did Gordon tell me the day after 2011 DGRR and whom did he say thought DGRR show was a hoax and how I ended up spending almost 2 hours talking and explaining? Hayes.

Its funny, how I have asked both of them that we should just all move on, not step on each others toes, do our own thing, but they don't seem to get it. And some of you think, I need to be bigger person, but can't seem to tell the other party of their wrong doing. Either case, Admin of this forum has stated all remains. I personally do not care, and I see slandering me, me defending myself, my event, and want to be clear those will not be allow to attend. And those of you think that is wrong and want to avoid coming to the event, I will say, I'm sorry to hear, but a handful or in some of you whom think more or want to persuade others to not attend, I am fine with that. My wife wants me to stop organizing this event and I'm always looking for a good excuse... so please, if you disagree, go make your case else where stating what is all wrong about this thread, and how I am handling all this and tell people to NOT come to DGRR.. at the end, It does not make much of a difference for me and I'll be happy to have 30 great rotary guys to show vs. 1000 random people. And I rather have ZERO (0) bad apples than trying to make it the BIGGEST! So, I truly encourage those who think they will not attend DGRR because me defending the slandering I've seen here, to do your thing.. because If you believe yourside to be correct, I think you are actually doing me a favor.

And finally to David Hayes, I'm going to give you some respect and going to hold back and not go into details on many many things. But if you want all the chips on the table and go for it on public forum, I'm fine with that.

And I will give this one last chance on public forum to end all this.. Which is, both, Gordon and Hayes can Post here and state, you want to move on with your own things and no one will step on each others toes. Which means, I will not talk about you, you don't talk about me on the forum, I will not attend your event, you don't attend mine, I don't get on your thread you started, nor would I or you trying to jeopardize each others event in good of the community. I pretty much stated all this to both of you before and am doing it again.

If you agree, I will stop and continue with my build thread. The information and what's written here will remain, but I myself will not talk about this topic at hand.

this is my final solution and to me reasonable. I will give both of you til end of Friday. If not agreed, I will continue to defend myself, and I guess I need to continue wasting my time.

Definitely agree with this... It's so peaceful down there in the mountains too, with the occasional rotary exhaust note buzzing by. Great way to get away from regular life for a weekend. It would be a shame if DGRR was no longer a yearly occurrence. Two years ago we finished putting my car back together after an engine rebuild at 2AM and left for the event around 9am hahaha.

Phil I think your car looked better Matte black and get rid of that damn red Efini badge!

LMAO.... I didn't make the video I posted and it's clearly a joke (though ****'s don't understand jokes). The link was sent to me and I don't think it mentioned anyone by name.

Update..

I'm not going to go into details to what has happened over the past 5 days, but in the back ground, me and Hayes have been conversing regarding this issue with Gordon's statement and we have come to a conclusion..

Hayes have stated to me in writing that he does not believe I've cheated, nor the event to be hoax. He has also stated to me that he will no longer partner with Gordon on any future car/rotary related events, and he also agrees with me that my decision of banning Gordon from DGRR.

By that, Mr. Hayes have shown me that he's earlier statement to be true and I am going to welcome Hayes to DGRR.

The content regarding Gordon will remain here for future reference but I will continue to move on with my Build Thread and updates.

If I had to guess it's a rig shot and the car isn't moving fast at all. The photographer just uses a long exposure to give the illusion of speed.
