MY 13B-RE Fd single turbo build(standing up for the Rotary) lots of pics

A-Spec told me that 400whp is more than achievable on the GT3574R. I have mine on the way (they said it shouldn't be much longer)
And your build is looking fantastic! Quick question though. On the UIM choice: In what ways is the RE uim better than the REW uim? And vice versa? Would one promote the spooling of a turbo more than the other?
Sorry if it is a mundane question, I have just realized that I had no clue (beside the "pulse wave balancing" design in the REW manifold.

hmm i still gotta look into that turbo... but im pretty well set on the 35r...
i guess im down to make over 420+on that that turbo lol
thanks.
well the Motor itself is a Cosmo, so i have to run that manifold... as far as differences go... all i can say is that the RE is known to have more torque in the low end. and i read some where that the manifold was slightly better designed due to the fact that the intake ports are huge stock...
sorry i cant really answer your question, as i myself am still learning... i only been in the car scene for 1yr 8months lol
thank you sir...
still saving up money for painting the whole car..

but the paint on my SSM was redone(over spray everwere, paints fading etc) looks bad...
idk, i might decide to keep it SSM, but idk.. i love purple too much ahhaha
other wise i would of swapped the sleeves out
hahahahha

I would have stuck with my RE late last year, if a pin-hole leak in my wastegate diaphram didn't cause over-boosting during the initial dyno-tuning...You know the rest.
But back to YOUR thread.....That motor REALLY looks like it's coming together!!
I'm not a huge fan of power-coating engine parts crazy colors, but that deep purple on the shortblock does look pretty darn awesome!
I was wondering though, you mentioned rolling your fenders. Have you considered maybe just getting the Burnout fenders?
Cost me $600 for the front/rear sets together. Still waiting on funds to have it all molded in and re-painted.
Overall though, I'm lovin' the progress pics.
After you get that '99 frame-less bumper prepped up right, are you going to go with that?

yea, wanted to get the manifolds polished up at first but,, after putting the manifolds on, and seeing some other ones that were polished...
i think powerder coating them purple would be best.
i have thought bout it, but i like the look of stock FD chassis with a good clean roll and flare
thanks appriciate the support..
well for now im going to stick with my 93 bumper and lip. till i get enough money for the 99 spec lights, under tray, bumper support, etc....
but i like the look of it for now

alright sorry for the lag of updates, been real busy...
heres were i stand at the moment..
My FD oil pan needs to get welded up before i slap her on..
still waiting on my motor mounts to get made.....
and still waiting on more money...
also i plan on getting my Upper and lower intake manifolds powder coated purple(sorry im ghetto) ... need feed back...
also i might want to upgrade my pulley set up and get the unorthodox(however you spell it) pulleys
also mocked up my RE-Amemiya Turbo manifold, along with my oil filter relocation, and custom fuel rails and regulator.
but heres some pics.. Enjoy
Note: my room is messy, my carpet is stained with oil, cuz ive torn apart motors in my room haha..
sacrificed my room.. to the rotary hahaha

That's no joke, I've seen his room in person! Shouldn't complain though because I found a good power steering pulley that I needed.... thanks man!
Jaime, you don't have a girlfriend do you? Cause mine would kill me if brought engine parts inside the house! One day you gotta stop sleeping with your intercooler and clean up your room! haha, just playin' man.
