Ahh, makes sense that it would be a M2 IC as well. Is there any way to alleviate the rubbing on the hot side? I admit that i'm too lazy to search for it, haha. The bungee is indeed being used as a tie down and it was gonna be a track car.. haha, i was thinking of switching it out to a slightly larger miata battery and fabricating a battery tray with proper tie down if there isn't some kind of adapter already.

IIRC the M2 medium works with stock battery setup.

My last IC setup was a M2 large and that pipe rubs too. You can try to reposition the piping and IC to lower it, other than that you pretty much have to remake the piping to avoid the rubbing.

Got it! Will try that for the piping. Hmmm, maybe i'll put a stock battery back on it. Had a few instances where the car wouldn't turn over because of the battery and had to charge it back up. Or i can look in to the SBG's lithium battery.. hmm..

Thanks for the info!

So, been quite sometime since i've posted anything here. Over the weekend since weather has been teasing on whether it was going to be good for a Rotors and Boba meet or not, ended up doing some work on the FD.

EDIT:
Pictures didn't post, do'h!

Thank you! It's clean but not used to her potential unlike yours.

On another note, I purchased the both Driver and Passenger side cup holder from @garage alpha and i think I put it in backwards? The more i look at the cup holder, i may have installed the driver side on the passenger side. They don't have it on their website anymore for reference, may have to dig around here to get some reference photos. Also, @garage alpha , would you happen to have any spare bolts that hold the cup holder down? I don't know if i lost it or my package only had one but i'm missing it. Haha

Picked up a pair of Jade seat belt guides for the seat. The Spirit R seats were reupholstered and finding the OEM seat belt clips are impossible to hide. I do have the strap, but unfortunately not clips. Anyways, i got the black with red stitching, i like the idea of the contrast rather than getting the red leather which will definitely be a different red. What you guys think?

Forgot to take pictures from a couple of weekends ago but placed the seat belt protectors on the seats. I'm loving the contrast and glad I did not go with the red leather option.

Been quite a while since i've posted here last but nothing much has been done with the RX7/RX8 and Supra. But I did pick a daily driver! I'm happy to be back in one of these!

Exactly like my first one except for it has navigation, more dings and a little rust, lol

So a few things that has been noticed when I first got the MS6 were the following..

1. Right Rear window will not fully roll down, most likely bad motor gears
2. No Floor Mats
3. Some of the door card leather is becoming undone
4. Hazard Lights do not work
5. Front overhead light (driver side) doesn't work
6. Driver Side Running Light out
7. Bunch of door dings
8. Rust spot on the passenger side rear rocker
9. Minor surface rust on the underbody
10. Leather seats (front passenger, rear seats) have some tears
11. Expected but hazy head lights
12. Rear tail lights have signs of water seepage

That's all i can think of from initial examination and first car wash.

MS6 arrived in early/mid January, I brought it in to Fremont Mazda just for initial oil change, found out there was a safety recall for fuel pump ring which I got addressed as well and while there, i did a transmission flush just to get that all out of the way. Heater/AC works fine and no funky smells so I didn't change out the cabin filter. CEL went off for thermostat timeout which I'll be monitoring as well as a massive EVAP loss which I automatically knew what the cause was. All this happened before having to smog the vehicle to register it in California. So the first mod of course is....

Brand new fuel gas cap
Brand new fuel gas cap
How torn up the original gas cap was
How torn up the original gas cap was
Cover Craft Windshield screen
Cover Craft Windshield screen

By default like with all my other cars except the FD, i purchased a Cover Craft windshield screen. Its a must for me since one, this will be my daily but two, i like to protect my dashboard. I also purchased the Corksport LED package (I don't have pictures of replacing the lights) but i had difficulty removing the rear dome light, it is fading and with the fault front dome light, i'm currently searching for replacements. Also searching for a passenger side visor as well. I purchased on amazon replacement gears for the window regulator which i'll be tackling next.

Some updates with the MS6!

Changed out the passenger side rear window motor and pulley. I initially purchased replacement plastic gears and was going well until i popped out the plastic pulley and the steel cables came undone. I thought I rewound it properly but ended up eating up the plastic pulley when rolling the window up and down. Stupid mistake which cost me a lot of time and headaches. Never do i want to work on another window motor again.... Luckily was able to find a used one which was already wound and just had to replace it. (Thanks 541 Motorsports for having spare parts for the Mazdaspeed6!). At least my passenger side rear window now works flawlessly!

Also purchased some brand new Mazdaspeed6 OEM floor mats from Edge Motorsports as my car didn't come with floor mats. It's the small things that matters.

Also was able to find a old but New Mazdaspeed Cold Air Intake for the Mazdaspeed6! Was lucky to find it, got it from Ebay but from a dealership in Florida. Will do the install on it later when i get a new Thermostat and Radiator and just do it all at once.

1. Right Rear window will not fully roll down, most likely bad motor gears
2. No Floor Mats
3. Some of the door card leather is becoming undone
4. Hazard Lights do not work
5. Front overhead light (driver side) doesn't work
- Corksports LED bulb kit didn't fix this, got another overhead light from ebay but not in good condition for me to swap it, tried to remove the board/circuitry from the ebay one to put in to mine but running in to hiccups.

6. Driver Side Running Light out
- Purchased Corksports LED bulb kit and got this taken care.
7. Bunch of door dings
8. Rust spot on the passenger side rear rocker
9. Minor surface rust on the underbody

Also, just took ownership of this beauty! For those who come to the monthly Rotors & Boba meet will recognize this car. But another money pit to go through, and my signature won't be able to fit everything... Haha.
