This came up on my youtube recommended this morning. Im not a follower or anything, but that car is definite rock star status. I waste a lot of time looking at stupid builds with my breakfast coffee, and of all the mind-bogglingly stupidly ridiculous amazing builds this one definitely wins the internet at the moment. Looking forward to further adventures. I tell ya, when the boost is dialled up just one notch with the introduction of all the extra torque and spool that comes with it, that thing will be a completely nother animal again and an absolute ball-tearer.

thanks guy,
thanks to everyone who continued to believe in this push to tracking this car! Its finally here. Yes, theres a few bugs to work out. Yes, its a budget build and there could be better equipment. But at the end of the day, it works. What was called impossible has been proven. The water to air intercooler worked, the radiator and oil cooler system worked great, the turbo was responsive from 5 to 9500 rpm. Everything did as it was supposed to and i couldnt be more thankful!
Appreciate all of the support and following,
Now to get back to work, touch up a few things, make some adjustments, and send it back out on Barber this time at 12psi!

because a clutch is a wear item, carbon clutches are cost prohibitive, and are only exceptionally beneficially if you're not running a dog-ringed transmission. There's not really much benefit in performance going to carbon on this setup. Cost is way higher, clutch wear will be quicker. Current SPEC clutch drives amazingly well, and can be easily serviced

have posted in here in awhile been real busy, quick update:
Will be headed out to SEMA at Maxxis booth, then onto 7stock afterwards. Will try to run the car around the autoclub speedway with the big boy group, the 767 792 etc. Hoping to get some good footage.
Anyone in here going to be there? Please come by and say hey I would love to meet as many rx7 club people as possible!

700 horse, 514 ft lbs of torque with full boost below 3200 and holding til 7500. It's meant to compete against corvettes and vipers in SCCA so the goal was to mimic their large displacement piston power bands. It's worked but theres a lot more power on the table with a larger turbo.
