Small Update:

spent the last week working a second job so I can blow it all haha. I've been putting in 16 hour days but I got home yesterday at around 6:45 and went straight to work. Traced all the wiring back to try and figure out my starter signal problem and realized the park/neutral switch was the only culprit as everything else was getting a signal with my test light... Well I don't have a park neutral switch. The previous owner must've deleted it... what I did see was a little wire tucked away in the loom with no electrical tape on it what so ever. It was the only loose wire...and my stomach jumped with excitement when I found another one like it heading towards the starter. Soldered them and Bingo. EFFF YEA! Now I don't have to jump the starter with a screw-driver lol. Turn key = crank motor now haha. Re-wired the TPS since it was a general autozone special, and extended the wires a little bit to give me some extra play.

Still need to figure out a nice place to mount it. Wanted to put it where my cig lighter is but it would hit one of two of the main metal mounting tabs so I didn't want to cut it so it would fit. I'll find somehwere..but it's going to be closer to the gauge cluster but still on the accessory panel.
Need to button up a couple more things for wiring and it should be ready to start. Calibrated my TPS as well and i'll be calibrating the innovate MTX-L tonight.

More updates soon!

congrats!

also, maybe a stupid question:
did you crimp that 2/0 power wire? it looks like you just slide the wire into the lugs and heatshrinked it...
we always drive a philips head "spike" into the crimp area and it is solid, then heatshrink.

looks to me... based on my sherlock holmes detactive work as if there are vise grips in the back ground of one of the pics... i would say he used those to crimp the terminal... it was dr green in the library and he used the vise grips!

Yes sir!! I crimped the wire with actual crimpers..but didn't have a 2/0 size crimper tool... so it really didn't look "ok." I actually Soldered the wire into the terminal afterwards so it is almost as good as weld...almost

Thats an excellent idea with the philips head.... Never thought of that..but with it soldered into the actual terminal....it aint going anywhere.

And good detective work haha close ....But I didn't use the vise grips for the crimp haha..I used pliers to straighten it a bit after the bad crimp.. I used the vise-grips to hold the wire in the terminal when I was soldering

And hell yea it feels great to hear the car run!

Update:

Been busy working out little bugs.
Had a little leak and wasn't happy with my drain install...so I pulled the drain flange off and modified it so the nut would fully tighten on the stud...and it would also give me room to get a socket on there.

I'm going to look for a convienient easy to see location closer to my eyes..but still closer to ac panel. The sensors are on each runner of my turbo manifold, closest to the engine ports.

Small Update:

Heres a small video of my EGT's working. VERY IMPORTANT: Does anyone know what my Start off Calibration temp should be in degrees C? One of my gauges is off and the other one seems correct at 30 degrees C but I just want to make sure so that they are both even from the start. Ambient seems to be 15 degrees C right now since it's 60 degree F out right now.. should I set them at 15 or 20 since they're in the manifold? Here is the vid.

Also I can't get my Cooling fans to come on when they SHOULD. They turn on only if I hook them directly to the ground/power wires directly when I turn the ignition switch to "on." But when I start the car they turn off. Anyone have any ideas? I think I have to find the AUX input and set it up manually.. Just wanted to make sure it's not wiring...
here is the prob..

Once I get the cooling fans figured out and My idle smoothed out I can break in the diff put some boost free easy miles on the motor and schedule a Tune session. Just want to make sure I get all the bugs out before I go tune.. I've seen wayyy to many people ready to tune....and their car leaks everywhere, boost leaks, vac problems, wrong plugs, wrong this wrong that....waste of a tune session. Car needs to be as problem free as possible before I head down there

Small Update:

Fixed my radiator fans. Seems as if....AGAIN the previous owner had it jerry rigged. I actually had to go back through my old front harness and look at the relays to figure that out. Replaced the missing relays (2 of them) and set up the duty on the Adaptronic so that they'll come on when things start getting a little on the warm side. Also, If this doesn't control the temps i'm going to purchase 2 Higher CFM fans and make an alum Shroud for them. As of right now the motor stays cool for 4-5 min while idleing but when it starts to surge up to 2K on and off temps slowly climb and I ended up having to turn the car off to let things cool off. But that was before I got the fans working at all. Should be good to go now.

I did get it to idle much much better, and at a lower RPM I'm currently @ 1150rpm and slowly working on lowering it. But it is a little tricky because:
1) I'm new to mesing with fuel tables and tuning, and I feel like everything I do is going to blow up the whole car haha
2) I've been making adjustments in increments of 5 on the tunning table to be more precise.. is this dumb?
3) I don't have an Idle Control Valve because I have an aftermarket UIM (Virtual Works UIM)

So i'll work on it a little more today and see where I can get it.

And Finally....i've been doing research on Tuners in the area and after talking with him. I'll be taking my car to Abel Ibarra in about 2-3 weeks time. We talked for about 45 min on the phone about what I want from the tune and whats possible/not possible/set up/parts etc... and I was really impressed with him. Seems like a good guy and has irreplaceable experience in tuning. He just started up his 20B turbo track car this past week. He also Ordered an Adaptronic for his brothers fd and promised he'd be as familiar with it as any other ECU he's worked with in the past. I'm pretty confident my tune is in good hands. More updates soon! Stay tuned guys!!

P.S. NEED ASAP: LOW mileage Good Condition Clutch Master Cylinder. Or should I just get the 75 dollar lifetime warranty one from Autozone?
