I've never really understood the appeal of the 20B swap myself. Obviously more horsepower and torque are reason enough for most, but the 20B comes with many compromises in my opinion. Between the mounting options, potential bump steer issues, parts availability, gas mileage, added weight and cost I've never really considered it that much of an upgrade. Not that I would ever throw a 20B out of my b̶e̶d̶ engine bay.
Some of these issues can be addressed with proper conversions, like the Defined Autoworks swap, others are not nearly as important to most of us. Now that other options exist for short block 3 rotors, or dare I even say 4 rotors these hold much more appeal to me. And Rich's FD deserves nothing less.
26B for Rich 2013!!!

Had an insanely busy weekend..... not a lot of sleep, a helluva lot of wrenching . With much help from Mr. Mono4lamar and also some assistance from Buddy Lee, I'm on track to make DGRR
Road tested the car, more info to follow. For now too exhausted to post, but enjoy the eye candy

What'chu talkin' bout ese!?!?
In all seriousness, it's been an extreme pleasure to be working and dealing with Rich and IRP as a whole. It's nice when two of the greater East Coast rotary shops can work together and produce some quite pleasant results.
Last weekend was a foggy memory, I'm quite sure Rich and I left his shop at 3-3:30 am .
I myself try to keep all of the projects and information we work on under close wraps. Rich is using the 5th and FINAL prototype version. Only two of these units exist in the world right now. One is here in the US with Rich and the other is over in New Zealand on an VERY nice 99rz edition.
We've made the units continuously lighter with machining and manufacturing revisions, flow more, and believe it or not made them more affordable to produce. The manifold itself weighs in at a scale tipping 1800g or 3.980lbs even with the ceramic coat finish.
There are no intentions at this point of going into production just yet.
DGRR '12 will be the place to be this year...

I'm having boost creep issues with the way things are right now. Need to get that sorted out and then off for tuning

If this weren't Rich's thread I would upload a video of one of our customers street driven 42r setups with an earlier prototype of this manifold to show you the "lag" or lack their of
Rich's car will undoubtedly be a monster once "we" get the boost issues under control. Can someone say the whole build is over-performing...? BTW, I talked to Rich on the phone last night at 11:30 he's got the work ethic to make it all happen...
