A few other small things....installed:
(1) new Titanium backing plates on all four calipers
(2) starter booster relay
(3) new larger K&N air filter with 40% more surface area
(4) a blue LED that lights up when my Aquamist pump activates
The blue light is BRIGHT, it lights up my entire cabin at night

A few shots of the undercarriage while the car was on the lift.... you can see the aquamist pump, routing of the 4 inch exhaust, placement of the wastegate, Mazdaspeed grounding wires, new OEM fuel line covers, IRP motor mounts, etc.

My Fikse track wheels just came in (18x10 weighs 20 pounds!), and I ordered tires for them as well. My setup moving forward:
STREET
Fikse Profil 5 with Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Front 18x9.5 +38 and 255/35
Rear 18x10 +32 and 265/35
TRACK
Fikse Profil 13 with Yokohama Advan AD08
Front/Rear 18x10 +51 and 285/30
I'm excited to weigh the street combo, the Michelin PSS are supposed to be retardedly light, lighter than the PS2. They don't come in until April 15th at the earliest, just in time for DGRR 2011

Btw, heard from my guy at the drivetrain shop..... good news, my 4.3/S4 T2 combo is in fantastic shape, he only had to change the carrier bearings because one was worn and making a little noise. It seems that the horrible noise I was hearing was coming from the damn front wheel bearings.
Current drivetrain setup:
oem torsen diff with 4.10
JDM Series 8 trans
oem axles
DGRR 2011 drivetrain setup:
S4 T2 with 4.30
Stock box with OS Giken close-ratio forged gearset and main shaft
Driveshaft Shop chromoly axles

Looking good rich. But im abit dissapointed, no cleaning and painting of the rear subframe and diff? Putting in a rusty diff cover? Or did i miss something?
And what did you pay for the front wheel bearings? Im looking at getting new ones for my car.

Remember JT, my FD isn't a show car.... it's a street/track car that just happens to win car shows occasionally
The subframe cleaned up nicely once wiped down with gasoline-soaked rags, and that diff is just temporary--- I'm waiting on a Greddy diff cover before reinstalling my S4 T2 w/4.30.
Some attached pics of my new track wheels mounted on my brother's 30k mile 1-of-266 SSM Base model (heh) followed by a quick snap of the shop. We keep the nice cars inside, the others brave the elements

Well boys, the tires have been mounted on the wheels!
Shouldnt be such a big deal, but I had three places turn me away, one shop that supposedly specialized in this. "Those are three piece wheels, and expensive. And too small of a sidewall. Sorry, we won't touch it." Real nice guys.
I went to Lee's Audio/Video (LAV) in Elizabeth and they used their Corghi touch-less machine to do the work. Came out perfect, and the service was top-notch.
Pictures installed to come tomorrow, the wheel/tire combo weighs in at a whopping 47 pounds, and the wide AD08s look mean as hell

The car needs to be lowered a bit with this setup, it would look much better with about a 1/2 inch drop in the front and a little in the rear.
The pictures don't really do the finish of the wheels justice, in person and in the sunlight they surprised me by how much they shined
Tom isnt going to want to hear this, but the car immediately felt more stable on highway on/off ramps and seemed to have better steering response too. IMO it's because the Fikse wheels are stronger and stiffer than the RPF1 I'd been running before. IIRC the RPF1 in 18x10 weigh around 18-19 pounds, and the Fikse weigh in at ~20, so theyre marginally heavier as well. I don't think tire change played a huge role in the different feel, same tires and similar sidewall in front, although I do have 100mm (4 inch) more contact patch
