Simon, appreciate the comments, thanks. Loved your interior theme, it looked a little familiar. Hehe. Thanks for the idea on the horn button, and congrats on winning 1st Place--FD in the car show

The first 'pull' on the curve he had a lot of momentum and i was playing catch up so we were about even. After that he didn't seem to want to go again.

Garrett (G) was riding with me and started yelling to whoop his *** and not let him get away with messing with us

Sooo...... I walked him hard when we made a clean run, and he actually got the jump by a little bit. IIRC we went all of third and fourth gear. I didn't know it at the time, but my third gear was about to BEND Definitely a fast car for bone stock, if I was on lower boost it would have been a driver's race.

Pulled off the highway and chatted for a bit, the owner was floored by how fast the FD was and even more so when I told him it was an 80 cubic inch engine His wife told me she used to own a 94 R2 and regretted selling it.

Btw, I did a bit of research and the new non-KR versions trap 118, I'm pretty sure these suckers trap around 120 or so.
Here is our most recent comparo with the GT500:

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...mparison_tests

Basically the exact same as the 500KR (540hp/510 torque). Their biggest disadvantage is that they have 57.4% of their 3800+ (3897 in this case) pounds over their front tires, which makes them a dog off of the line (can't hook up). FYI: that particular GT500 trapped 115 in the quarter @ 12.7 seconds.

Car looks good. Congrats on walking the GT500KR. FYI, KR's ran 80k... Too bad about popping the trans. Maybe if there is a fall DGRR this year I can make it (or maybe to Gordon's this August if the Carlisi meet is going on again) I can check out your FD.

i think it's you :-P the 2nd one is particularly a failure for the Mustang. The first one was moot in my book as there was an inside curve. but clearly walks away on the 2nd round.

Rich - Is your centre speaker mounted gauge pod the Prosport gauge pod? And the caps the ones Defi make? (This one). Another question....Do you think it would be possible to be adapted without too much modification to fit a RHD car?

Cheers in advance

Jio, in your old age I guess your eyes are playing tricks on you

As already mentioned, the first pull he had a ton of momentum coming up on me. I downshifted and kept up with him from a constant speed. It wasn't even a race.

Look at round 2, in particular the last few seconds. I walked him, hard. I also spoke to him after the race and he couldnt believe how hard I pulled him

Tom, mine is a Flyrx7 quad 60mm pod. He sells both LHD and RHD versions. You're correct on the Defi meter visors.

Exactly Huy, the ONLY reason I have that rear license frame is to keep the cops off my back. I don't like to advertise that stuff unless pushed, but the way the police harass me has become unbearable. Only thing they care about is stealing as much money from honest people as possible for their municipality coffers.

Rich's brother Ryan got beat by a girl driving a Saabaru. We bought a girly sticker pack and put them on Ryans car but had leftovers, Rich's license late was the next logical place to look

Just had a trackday at Monticello Raceway (a long 4.1 mile course) with the Trackacardia group that was started by Jon Schroeder, one of our fellow members. Had four 30+ minute sessions. I changed to fresh synth oil, and completely flushed my brake fluid with Endless RF650. Also installed new Racing Brake ET700 front pads.

We had 6 FDs there, four of them on the track..... Dan/Scrub, Pete, and Rick/Zumspd all tracked our cars, and my brother and Damari came with their FDs to support us.

The car performed very well during the day, I was in the intermediate run group and passed about fifteen other cars, mainly american iron. mid 90s Mustang Cobra, a few C5 corvettes, a few M3s, many audis, many v-dubs. Cornering felt great w/the new sway bars, and I saw speeds of up to 140ish mph on the back straight. In particular I had a C63 AMG Merc chasing me down the back straight and I left him behind with ease.

Many other drivers there commented on the large bursts of flame and how great the exhaust sounded. Nice to hear from non-rotary people

Started running WG spring w/the boost controller off but in later sessions ran low boost (15 psi) to gain some oomph on the straights and also a big increase in boost response.

The cooling system on the car performed tremendously, ambient temps were in the mid to upper 60s. Coolant stayed around 87 to 90 C and only peaked once at 92 C. Peak oil temps for the day were 195F.

Thanks for listening to me Rich! Awesome run! I normally don't egg on stuff but the mustang guy needed a whoopin'! He was actually really nice when we talked to him at the next off ramp. His wife actually owned a n FD a while ago. Nice to have some good clean fun w/ a respectful car owner/ motorhead! The first run he went by floored and had 2-cars on us and Rich caught even or a bit better by the time he shut it down. Next even pull he jumped slightly and Rich easily walked by. Very good run. Really nice cars. Rich's car is no joke! He finished off his tranny when we did a pull and easily walked me. Fun times!!

No more rice, you see that button to the right of the quote icon in each and every post? That's the multi quote button. You click that on EACH POST you want to quote, then at the bottom of the page on the left you click "post reply" which will bring you to a page with each individual post quoted in a response box. This will prevent you from having to make three posts in a row.

Garret, I don't think Rich got any in car footage, but Ryan got some of the action from the sidelines. I have a little helmet cam, front bumper cam footage from my sessions, but none with Rich.
