Awesome! Those street races are so cool! I completely understand your distaste with the forum FD community. You'be been active on here without a break in service longer than anyone I know. I have to come and go from time to time. I find myself more and more on other car forums due to a better owner demographic. BTW, the best FD's are the ones like yours that are constantly upgraded over time with really nice parts, and fine tuned after each series of upgrades. It os not just another "run of the mill single car"

I'm going to try and keep the thread on 'track' here.....
The SBG Oil Coolers have so far met or exceeded my expectations on the street. I monitor my oil temps pretty religiously and they've dropped about 10-20 degrees depending on driving conditions. They also come down much faster after sitting in traffic (for example heat soak to 190F in traffic then the needle swings to 170 right after I start moving) and temps don't rise nearly as much after shut-down. This is in comparison to my old R1 cooler setup w/R-Magic ducts.....same '99 front bumper.
The real test will be on track---I have one weekend in October with my buddy Nick and Renna at NJMP/Lightning, and am contemplating another one coming up this month out at Pocono.

Rich, I would like your opinion on something if you don't mind. I might have figured out how to adjust fuel vs ethanol content on the PFC, however I don't think there's a way to do IGN. If you run e85, odds are you will have an aftermarket secondary rail, eliminating the fuel temp sensor that resides in the stock rail. If you convert that signal to read from a 0-5v output from the e85 content sensor (found in GM, Ford, and other FFVs) and do some math to figure out which temps relate to what voltage, you can figure out how to adjust the injector flow. Settings 2.

The majority of the cutting was done using a throat-less sheer, but the little finishing touches were done with a hand sheer. I probably should have used an air nibbler for the fine trimming but it was late and that thing is LOUD.

I'm sure he's seen this and is praying no one calls him out, don't worry your time is coming. I'm not sure how long I'm willing to bite my tongue you coward. Rich isn't the first person you've tried to screw, so maybe it's time to let everyone know.
On a positive note....El Presidente (Rich) and most of the Rotary Addicts guys will be attending the baltimore grand prix this weekend!

I've been pretty busy lately, but have found time to continue the transformation of my FD into more of a track oriented machine 
Currently the M2 Chromoly Rollbar is at the powdercoaters getting refinished in matte black, thanks to Fritz for the easy purchase and Scrubs & Austin for the legwork
Also, my latest pickup...... Recaro Profi SPA Carbon/Kevlar. I *barely* fit in these things, now I have one more reason to be on a diet
The black looks so much better with the VR paint, and the quality of these suckers is top notch. Thanks again to Fritz for an easy purchase and to Costas/R-R-Rx7 for driving WAY out of his path to pick these up for me

Richie...what do you plan on doing for harnesses? The one thing that is a PITA is that you can't really use the stock seat belts with aftermarket seats...at least not easily.
A word to the wise, I've been down the "build a track car" road and the better option is to just leave the "street car' as it is, in all it's pristine glory, and just build a race car. Anything else will be a compromise that you won't be happy with.

Crispy, I hear ya.. I took my car on a country side road drive today with a friend and realized how I miss the stock feel of the car. I've decided once I find a shell to do a 20B swap, I'm turning my MB back to street car with stock seats and softer suspensions.

Rich's car is plenty fast enough to do some serious damage. Not to mention, if something happens to his pristine FD that he has soooo much blood, sweat, and tears invested in while he is on track, he would be a miserable human being. I know Rich and I talked about that at Petit LeMans last year though. Hell, I think half the forum would be miserable is something happened to Rich's car. It's a staple of this community... as well as Crispy's. I still have my VR FD, which was the first FD I ever purchased and has the basic bolt on's, stereo, ac, ps, etc... and is an absolute dream(still sequential) to drive around. It constantly reminds me of why I love these cars... even when I have race car woes.

Good to see you back on Ramy! So you more reasonable schedule these days?? Still got the FD or you now leaving us for good and getting something more baller? Hope to see you again... maybe at my event next year?
