Now you can not only own one of the cleanest FDs in the nation, now you can also own one that flies too! Seriously though, your car is always fun to look at. You and Gene have the best looking VRs I have ever seen. I better start buying more spirit R gear to catch up to you now.
Too many gauges makes Charlie a sad boy... I love the deep corn Nardi, probably my favorite wheel
I'm just worried that the once original and super-classy VR Fikse-fied that your pic-whored out for years is now becoming just another run of the mill feed skirts & wing RPF1 cookie cutter with too many gauges
I liked your car the way it was Rich!

I think the RPF1s are supposed to be track tires for him...
Until he gets the RPF1s with the SBC finish. Then who knows!
I do kind of agree about the gauges. I don't think you will like the steering column pod with the 2k2 gauge cluster. I've been told that the pod actually blocks the needle at 0. I definitely like the mickey mouse holder with the right pod removed. Its a great alternative to mounting on the a-pillar.

I need one. Make it two!
I haven't had one since the last time I was in Sao Paulo many moons ago...
Rich - you ever get those other Racing Brake pads? I just ordered a pair of ET800s for the front. I have a track day at Laguna Seca on Monday. I'm glad to finally be back in Cali. I need a break.

Some new pics.....
Finally got the Nardi wheel installed. I am still getting used to driving with it, certainly feels like a high quality piece and gives the car a more race-oriented feel:

I also installed a pair of brand new OEM exterior door handles from the recent GB. I do still have a few sets left, if interested PM me

Some comparo pics..... middle is the cheapy replicas that have already fogged up, bottom is the OEM Stanley units, top is my next addition, URAS JDM goodness combo lights

The 2002 cluster is going to look dynamite in your car, I am really regretting selling it off my car. Project is coming along very nicely, much faster then mine - guess that is what happens when you have a job.
I would really like to see what the new lights look like on the car.
Here is a gimp'd image...

Hey, any day after this weekend buddy. Bring it on. Steak or Korean food.
IMO though...

I havent met anyone that doesn't like Korean food. I've met vegetarians that always cheat when at a Korean places. Say what you want about our cars but our bbq meats and LCDs (not bbq'd) are untouchable.
I am a bit biased though. We can let the lady decide.
Rotary boutique...
hahahaha, that doesn't sound half bad.

Spent some time wrenching on the car today
*changed fuel filter (it's relocated to the rear subframe so takes about 5 minutes)
*changed oil and filter, running Idemitsu 10w30
*removed UIM to clean up some vacuum hoses and change to new NGK spark plug wires
*added 5mm spacers to the rear RPF1s, making them effectively 18x9.5 +40 out back
*cleaned up the routing of my wastegate lines to move them away from the exhaust manifold. Used metal cable ties that won't melt from the major heat in that area
*installed a pair of oil catch cans--a nice polished Greddy unit inline from the oil filler neck to the compressor inlet, and a smaller one hidden down by the starter, vented with a breather filter from the oil filler neck
I also spent some time chasing down some wacky knock sensor readings. I've searched and this seems to be a not uncommon occurrence--- my knock is low at idle but at cruise and free-revving in neutral it soars up to 100-140.
I've pretty much exhausted all possibilities, ie new knock sensor, better grounding, etc etc. The tune is good, car runs great. AFRs and EGTs are well within spec......maybe I should just unplug the damn thing
Oh, I also got my new custom license plates in the mail, I will post up a pic tomorrow. My first time on the highway with the new plates I walked an Aston Martin DBS from 80 to ~125 mph by a healthy distance
I slowed down to check out the car but he wouldn't pull up next to me even when I was creeping at 60 mph

Are you going to install the longer studs necessary to run 10mm spacers Delegate Dan?
