We can dream can't we. If they'd drop it to about $20k for everything, i'd do it right now.

Anyways it's really nice to see A ROTARY put down some really good numbers at such a low boost level. Nice job David!

Hey guys,

Back from the SEC championship game - War Damn Eagle! Auburn won but got totally screwed in the BCS. Any team that runs the SEC at 12-0 shouldn't be denied a shot at the national championship!

Anyway, college football aside, thanks for all of the posts. To answer some of your questions,

- rajeevx7: yes, the second intake cone is hidden in the pics, basically under the one you can see in the pictures.
- Steve Kahn dyno day: For those of you that attened, how did it go? I kow Cam's had a lot of problems with the dyno since the hurricanes but he's now back up and running. Don't know that I've seen a person so **** about maintenance as Cam. Yes, sorry I missed this but after four days at the dyno, I frankly was pretty tired of it all. Hope the dyno and tune day went well. Don't know if Cam told the story but he has an interesting one about Steve and racing against him. Ask him sometime.
- Rear flares: don't know if I'm going to paint the heads on the bolts black. Probably will but I'm kind of getting used to them as they are. Also now on the fence regarding having them fabricated out of metal. You can't see it on the pics, but Cam had the body work guys place on the bottom of the fenders the same rock proofin material that is on the stock car. It matches up great and should give me pretty good protection from chips.
- Rear wheel offsets: don't know what offsets were used. The pic doesn't do justice to how wide and mean the rear wheels look in person. Will try to get a better shot and post it. If you need to actual offsets, call Tyler at Pettit.
- File hosting: Bill from OH has offered to host the vids and I've sent them to him. I'll get better videos during the final tuning but thought these were better than nothing.
- Wolf EMS: Why Wolf? This was a big debate between myself and Pettit. Ultimately I left this up to Pettit and Cam selected the unit because of his prior experience with the Wolf 3 and because of several unique features (don't ask me what these were, I can't remember). Frankly, after all of the trouble we had, I'm sure he would have rather selected anything else but the Wolf. In the long run, though, the Wold is going to be great. With the exception of cold starting, the car runs like stock.
- Red RX7: I guess this means we're never satisified and will always want to take it to the next level?!
PheonixDownVII: I'll do my best to take care of the car for you!!
- Ancient Words: That's pretty close ($35K) for the conversion without a lot of the extras I added. The price is negotiable but Pettit does spend many hours on making a Banzai. I, or course, don't want to see a Pettit assembly. No offense, but I want to remain as unique as possible. The car revs pretty much like the 13B. The sound is better though. As for driving, the biggest thing you notice is the torque comes on immediately so its a different driving experience as you don't have to rev th car as high as the 13b. As for steering, feels pretty much like before the conversion. The only difference I notice is a perceived feeling of comfort accelerating through corners. Because of the meat I now have on the back end, I feel I can be a little more agressive powering through turns.
- Yellow RX7 in pics: I think Matt is from Little Rock. Think he owns several movie theaters?

I do - I post on several forums... is that illegal?

I was pulled into this thread by Mark - so I replied to him.

Congrats again Dave.

What is included for the "base" price of 35k?

That is 35K kinds of fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, seen as how this is probably the only way I'll ever afford to be able to experience it!

David was Chris (ecu distributer from Wolf) able to get the oil metering pumps working with that ecu or do you still have to premix?

Here are the links to the short videos I took (with my digital camera). I'll do better next time I go done for the final tuning:

This one is of the car idleing. Gives a pretty good feeling of the sound of a three rotor:

This one is of moderate acceleration on the car

Yes, the Wolf will run the OMPs but Pettit wants me to premix also.
