I sent David a copy of it on Tuesday. It's a little over three minutes long. It has two good pulls on it and some idling/revving in neutral from behind. The sound of a 20B is awesome

I haven't heard back from David, so I'm assuming he's out of town.

No final news yet

Hi all,

Haven't been to the forum for the past few months as I have been working on the car trying to get it completed. Thanks to the help of Dean Colver, I'm at about 400 RWHP and 400 ft. lbs. of torque at 10 PSI. The latest problem I have been dealing with is that the car won't hold any more that 10 PSI of boost. Am concluding that this is the best the Cosmo twin turbos will do.

I have the DVD from Doug and would be happy to send it to someone who can post it. It's 217 megs. Let me know if you are interested. It's pretty good.

From what I have been told the stock turbos are the size of the FD turbos. Considering the motor is 50% larger your experience doesn't surprise me-if they are in fact stock. I wouldn't get too hung up on the numbers if you're happy with how it feels.

That's not his car. That's another 3 rotor done by Pettit. Notice the GTC front.

Wow... $5,000 for the 20B core and $6,500 more to rebuild and "blueprint" it... I'm in the wrong business.

I may have found a solution for this. Tested it yesterday and it seemed to work. Will see today though. Called several 20B conversion shops and they all claim the cosmo twins can run up to 15 PSI.

This not my car. It's the one I saw in the shop that got me started on the 20B conversion thing. Damn, $61K. Someone actually spent more than me!

Wow, I hope your project doesn't cause you to go down the same path this guy did... spent all that money only to sell it for a loss - $$

David,

As I mentioned a while back, I can host it.
Send me an email and I'll tell you where to ship the DVD.

Nope, planning on enjoying the car for awhile. Don't want to jix myself, but it looks as though I solved my boost problem. Tightened up the actuator a bit and it now seems to hold 14 PSI. The question is what will happen once I hook my electronic boost controller back up. Should know later today.

Yep talk about some crazy markup. It's funny that this same engine could be rebuilt with a RA master rebuild kit and new housings for less than 3k(provided if you DIY).

No problems with the Wolf unit. I enlisted the help of Dean here in Jax to help with reviewing everything (maps, modifiers, etc.) and after about a month of checking and data logging, we now have the car in very good shape. Kudos to Chris Greene from Wolf also. He's called me almost every day during the process and has also reviewed my maps and data logs and given great advice.

I finally got through 60 pages of this thread, and I only have three questions. What does a 12K+35K 20B reliable performance package rx7 run in the 1/4? What is the market resale value (ie. not the dreamers value)? If you could do it all over again would you have went another route, or bought another car with your 47+K investment? Congrads on your project 7 David and I wish you the best of luck with it.
