Great write up, David. Let me know when you will be back down. As long as it's not March 5-12, I'll definitely be in town.

Great write up, David. Thanks for the update. Are those Dyno numbers you posted up to 8k rpms, or are they at the 6k that you dynoed at before?

I think he's on some type of stand/support as not to lean on the fender. They make some that you can actually lay down on over the engine bay.

Oh wow. That's a sure sign that they REALLY care about their customers' cars... I KIRK when people lean over my fender. I JUST had the car repainted, so even standing too close gets me anxious...

LOL!! Tyler is just a pretty tall guy and it's also the angle of the camera. He was pretty careful though.

As for the question regarding the HP and how high the RPMs went to, we'll have to review the graph when it show up from Pettit (just emailed them asking for a copy). My guess is that it will go up to 7,500 RPMs or so.

I also just left a message with Cam regarding going back down to finish up the work. I'd like to get this done as soon as I can and complete the project.

Waiting on Cam to give me a date to come back. I want this to be my last trip to get everything finalized and dynoed. I've had fun but now it's time to get it all together. My guess would be in 2 weeks.

David

FYI - am busy painting misc engine parts with a high temp metallic black and clear coat. Will post pics of the results.

Are you serious!? That's my plan! You really ARE planning on selling this car to me someday aren't you!?

LOL, I am a big fan of Gunmetal or "Metallic Black" (all shades of grey/black shiny metal as opposed to bling bling Chrome). I've seen some blackend engine bays before and think its a cool alternative to the mirrored shine of all chrome engine bays we see every other day now...

Rock on.

This car really was meant for you - I'm using metallic black with a clear coat on top. The brand is "Stove Bright" and is designed for oven temps up to 1200 degrees.

I'm not big on the chrome look so I thought this would dress up the engine bay a bit. So far, I like the way it's turning out.

Any other things you'd like me to do to the car before I turn it over to you!!?

could everyone just keep this thread on topic . nobody reading this wants to know about 'other' engine conversions (there's plenty of other posts for that), just the coversion that David is performing.
