I've put off doing a build thread/shop thread here for far too long. To start with, let's go over a basic background. My names Marc and I've owned and worked on Rx-7's for the last decade. At one point I even quit my job for a year just to work on friends cars and see what the automotive repair business was like. Reality and life eventually caught back up with me and I returned to the working world, but I've kept tinkering on them as a hobby. I've been good friends with Rob@ Pineapple Racing and provide tech services for him on a per-project basis. He's focused more towards engines and parts at this time. It's been a great relationship and I wouldn't be where I'm at without him. My brother and I built a new shop three years ago to feed both our hobbies, but I've taken over much of it. (Sorry Troy!) I've had the opportunity to work on everything from low milage, bone stock FD's - to 500hp single turbo cars. Sometimes I even find time to work on my own cars - but not nearly enough. I'm trying to change that. With spring ramping up, I'm completely swamped. There's not a better time in my mind to introduce you to my madness .

As you can imagine, with this being a hobby and having a family, these projects take some time. If you're expecting regular updates, you will be disappointed. My friends are joking we should record this madness and put it on youtube, but filming takes time. My goal this year is to focus on tuning. We lack a solid tuner here in the NW and I'm determined to change that.

That's a very cool collection of motors you have there, would love to see more pics .

 

Is that a tiny lighthouse on your property? I also like the use of the old network racks for hardware storage boxes. Very cool!

Thanks! The "lighthouse" is a well tower, the properties from 1891. It provided pressurized water to the 8 other buildings and gardens.

I am the Marc helping Chris, and by helping I mean providing recommendations. Nice fellow and I wish him the best in his build. It's really ending up as a show car, more than a performance build- which seems to better fit his audience.
