FD Maintenance / Build
Check the group buy section. My build thread shows the install.

Read through your thread, and I'm just amazed at all the hard and good work you're doing! Like someone mentioned before, you make it look ridiculously easy to pull and rebuild an engine
Your car will be looking mint, and must be driving better than new for sure!

ha thxs, I think i've pulled it 3 times now since i've had it. The key is researching and planning.
Now the first gen i had was ridiculously easy to pull, rebuild and install.
30 mins to pull the engine that had AC
2 - 3 hours to clean and prep parts
couple hours to stack
45 mins to install
another 45 mins to tiddy up a few things and it was back on the rd
Just ordered some oil coolers duct, they were $195 shipped from RHDJapan.

thanks
thanks
the top left padding is removed for clearance but other than that it fits nicely. with sparco mount on the lowest setting I have a little headroom. I do have a sunroof so that eats into my space some.

3/5 cars and coffee with the wife this time she brought her 8. love that we can cruise the back roads together and enjoy the same passion.
3/11 dropped it off at my buddies for a wash, polish and sealant.
used these items and spent about 16 hours on the car.
Polisher: Rupes lhr21 & Porter cable 7424 xp. With Lake Country blue, orange, then red pad.
Compound: Menzerna FG400, 3D AAT Polish, then Menzerna SF4500.
50/50 shot after 1st polish

Next up some tires. I mainly drive it on the wknds and plan on doing 2 - 3 track days ans leaning towards re71r.

Seat fitment is ok... It does hit the door panel and leaving a little indention on the door.
I only really drive the car on the wknds and they been in the car for a few weeks and they are comfy just a PITA to get in and out with a stock steering wheel.
If you have an aftermarket steering wheel with a quick release and don't mind crawling in and out it isnt bad.

Got new tires from discount tire today. they are super nice and price match so I've really happy with their service.
really wanted some re71 or re11 but couldn't get them in time for dgrr. got pole position s04 instead.
I wanted a tire that would be good for back rd spirited driving and be good for 2 track days a year. I plan on driving v my car to a from the track events and putting 6-8k miles on the tires a year.
will report back on the tires in a few wks

They actually put your car on 4 jacks instead of that big floor jack? Is it because of the ride height? When I got new tires last year, I just bring my rims to them in my wife's Mazda3.
I could probably go lower with the current setup but would probably rub.
Fenders are unrolled
Wheels are 17x9 +45 with 255/40s
I would love a setup like the one below but I would have to get wider wheels, stretch the tires some and roll my fenders. As cool as it looks I like having a somewhat comfy ride.

Not sure how a setup like that would handle on the back roads and the track.
