I got the car started finally. The exhaust isn't finished and the brakes still need to be bled but she runs and idles.

Thanks guys. This week I should be done reassembling the car and it should be road worthy by Sunday. Maybe then I can finally register it and start breaking in the motor.

I finished my battery relocation. The positive lead goes to the starter and the negative is grounded to a stud in the trunk. It wont start now but it turns over. I'm too tired to troubkeshoot tho.

Clean job. The issue you are having is in the ground system. Meaning you need to loop the grounds together, alternator, body, starter & so on.

that fuel kit though =D

anyway... congratulations on the build man. glad to see your car is running and the hard part is over. whats the deal with your ps and ac? deleting both right? how come you still have the tension pulley and where did you get that radiator "hose". looks really handy. accordion style rubber hose?

i was planning on hacking up a bunch of different radiator hoses and connecting them with a metal pipe. your solution looks so much better. you mind showing a close up of it? can it be squeezed like a normal hose? the thing i dont like about using hard lines for your radiator hoses is that you cant squeeze them when bleeding the system. it makes it a pain.

Thanks guys. CR, the ac will be going back in but not the PS. The hose is Gates vulcoflex hose I believe. Works like a charm. yes they do squeeze a bit.

Right now the car is currently running and running well. At the moment I can only take it around the block since it's not registered but it will be soon.

Nice, I'm thinking about getting a rx8 condenser and mounting underneath when time comes. Got all most all my stuff lined up to start dropping the motor in and really putting work in to catch up to you guys.

I ordered a my Rywire harness today along with some aluminum door handles so I don't have to crawl in from the passenger side anymore. This thing is finally starting to look like a car again.

Finally, I can breathe a sigh of relief. Saturday I got the car registered and spent the afternoon cruising around going to all of my favorite local spots. Sunday me and Tem120 did some more minor tuning to get the afr's decent for the drives to and from work and then I spent Sunday afternoon breaking in the engine.

My wrx will be down until early January due to timing belt tensioner failure so while that's down I'm going to daily the fd. If all goes well I should have her on a dyno at the end of January.

I do have to say, all of the work and effort was worth the while. Once I fix the clunking diff bushings this will be a great comfortable street car.
