Ant's SSM/RED Build Thread
I've owned about 14 Rx7's over the years, but never owned a FD! I recently picked up this 93' SSM with red interior roller a few weeks ago by way of a long distance buy. It arrived and I found a few more things to be addressed then I anticipated... but I kind of expected that!!! I'll be posting pics/updates through out the process simply for record and would appreciate any input, advice and comments etc. Soooo... first pics prior to delivery. More to come shortly!

I got the car here and the sub frame was obviously removed and slapped back together in a hurry... guess I saved it from a swap! that will be next to tackle and get squared up!

I knew the car had red interior but was really curious as to why the rear pieces were black well it seems someone thought it was a good idea to paint them? Why idk... but here's the first round of stripping the paint and bringing the interior back to life... they may of actually did the car/me a favor and preserved them...

Kleen Strip makes a air craft stripper for flexible plastic, I apply that and wipe off. It removes a good portion of the paint. Them acetone , elbow grease and attention to detail aka patience! Scrub with a tooth brush and simple green immediately. Rinse with hot water...and apply a quality interior cleaner/detailer.

Not many around... that I know of! So I wrapped up un-molesting the red interior pieces and it was worth the effort! Everything came back to life and in really decent shape!!!
