94 WIIIDEbody drift car (
So on February 8th 2013 I made the mistake of taking on a second FD.
But i couldn't resist a clean bodied shell for $2500 (plus the cost of shipping from
Cali). Now I'm no writer but i'll try to keep this thread interesting and whatnot.
The car arrived on March 12th and the initial inspection/teardown began. first thing i noticed was just how wide the 50mm chargespeed widebody fenders looked, and how well they were molded to the body (although i wish they werent molded at all, but whatever) they really give the car an aggressive look which is perfect considering my inspirations for this build are the R-magic d1 car and the RE Super-G (2004).
I was quick to strip out the interior and put it up for sale *cough* https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...parts-1029317/ *cough* Mainly was tempted to do this because of the already white interior which in my opinion looks really freaking rad on track cars when its all clean with a matching (or flourescent) roll cage.
Next thing i did was purchase what i believe is a replica RE-Amemiya N1 bumper and FEED style fenders to start to piece my Aero together. I love the way the lines on the bumper flow with the FEED fenders cut off look.
more updates and pictures to follow~

Alright, back to progress. Had been feeling a lack of desire to work on cars at all recently, up until a few days ago. So i have begun to prep my engine bay for paint and doing a little touch up stuff on some of the parts in the bay. This engine bay is going to look beautiful when everything is said and done. at least until i start tracking it lol
BAY PREP
Look at this mess...
Bam! Much better
Currently mid-way through the first round of sanding

Been slacking again, and gave into the temptation of a new 30 1.4 lens for my camera. So at least I have some cool-ish photos to drop on here for now. My little custom wiper motor cover should hint as to some of my paint decisions

Really overdue update inbound:
So, over the course of the last few months I've purchased a second hand REW (supposedly with 10k on a rebuild) built by Atkins here in WA. Motor it self is super clean and nice. But the manifolds/accessories need a good cleaning. Also noticed my thermostat is only half-there (weird right?) anyways I also purchased a Borg-Warner S362 .91 turbocharger, still waiting on that. Now I just need to figure out what manifold to run (I'm too cheap to fork over $800 for a manifold :/ ). Now here are some boring pictures!!
