@su_maverick has a soul red FD

@spintriangles the car is beautiful. The new pics in the sunlight look fantastic.

I like to thank Interigity paint shop of St Cloud Fl for the paint job. Kilo Racing for the engine build and tunning. In this rotary world it is hard to find good mechanics and auto body guys who do good work. I have had my share of headaches. The sad thing is a lot of people blame the car, car owner or the rotary engine for the fd reliability. In my case in the past it has just been the mechanics and auto body guys who have caused me problems. Now that I have found some good guys to work on my car I am happy. I do thank those other morons for helping me learn how to work on my own car. Brap on more coming from this build.

I think the Victory Red looks great, hard to tell the difference between that and the original VR on this iPhone screen.

Having people you trust working on your car is absolutely key. Chris Johnson @ Autoshop Transend did the body work on my car and I could not be happier. I think any engine/car is fine if it has a mechanic working on it who knows their stuff and cares about the work being done. Ive done almost all the mechanical stuff myself because I have heard and been witness to multiple horror stories with shops in the past. Most shops are fine until it comes down to money versus reputation. The bad ones always choose reputation. Good luck with your car man! She is a beauty

As the build continues there are still some items to tackle. Next will be the shift ****. I have read many threads about shifts ***** and I am still not sure what I am doing there. I have a oem shift **** and a 5sp shift ****. I am highly thinking about buying the carbon fiber re amemiya shift ****. I have not seen anyone say good or bad things about that ****. Hoping to make a decision by this weekend so I can go ahead and install my re amemiya short shifter. My decisions with this car are always very calculated.

Just be sure you get a proper threaded ****. I did years with the universal/set screw *****, and they were guaranteed to come off in my hand once per track event.

Lol. Ptrhahn thank you for the advice. They got me too with those type of shift *****. I learned the hard way that those shifter suck.

Thank you AE Racer. I am really enjoying my car and every time I tweak it a little it puts a smile on my face. It is a very calculated build and I dont want to ruin the car. Instead I just want to make it a little better. By the way I just subscribed to your build. Great build and I just took a glance at it. I will sit down and read through the thread in the near future. I was at the 12hrs of Seebrig for the IMSA race. I dont know how I did not see your car. Brap on brother

Well I think I am pulling the trigger on the re amemiya carbon shifter ****. I am also looking at some other shift ***** on ebay just in case I get the re amemiya and dont like it. On the list of shift ***** if things fail is the 5sp miata, and mazda speed. All oem but those leather shift ***** always seem to wear and then look crappy. I bought a new oem 93 rx7 shift **** and it did not take long for the leather to look worn.
