I'd get seals for those rod-ends as well. Mine were worn out about the same time but didn't cause the same clunking as the toe links did.

The Petit Racing toe links were a weight saving 1lbs over stock. Not only a suspension upgrade but also weight saving.

I removed this old school xtant amp that weighed 10.4lbs.

I placed this up to date pioneer blue tooth amp. This anp only weighs 5lbs and since it is bluetooth there is no need for a radio. I will be streaming all my music from my cell phone. I am looking to switch from microtech ecu to fuel tech. I am planning on using the location for the radio to put my fuel tech screen instead.

With so many big project items for my Fd I sometimes leave the small details behind

This fire extinguisher was just thrown in the back without being secure for years.

While replacing the amp i took the time to secure the fire extinguisher. Sometimes its the little details that put a smile on my face.

Lithium battery

The build continues, as I have been busy spending money on my son's karting racing career. @ayo_its_andres. I have also been busy making youtube videos. @arrivendrive. With all that going on I have not forgotten about my build. The latest mod is a antigravity xd30hd battery. The ignition system is being upgraded with a few parts including a rx8 starter. Stand by for pics and battery weight comparison. Brap on.

Lithium battery comparison

The average size battery. This was out of my pathfinder. 750CA

My old Fd battery. Smaller than the pathfinder battery. 530CA

The new Antigravity ATX30 HD lithium battery for the Fd. Weight saving of a little over 18lbs and 979CA.

Rx8 starter to replace rx7 jdm starter

Rx7 starter, only using the front mounting housimg. Rx8 removing the front mount housing and putting the starter in the rx7 front mounting housing. I should have done this upgrade years ago.

Ignition/weight reduction upgrade

The old setup started to lead me to believe that the engine needed a refresh. The car would start very slowly and sometimes not at all. My vacuum was at 18 so it did not add up. I replaced my starter and battery. These are the results from my video on my youtube channel.

Wow, that is a pretty big difference. Early in the video it sounds identical to mine. Unfortunately, mine has gotten much better after replacing the battery, starter, and adding the Pettit booster.

That is awesome!! I am going to look into Pettit Racing starter booster. I have a few Pettit Racing parts on my Fd and they are top notch. I have also been at Cam shop and it's great.

My rant

I just got back from an auto x event Daytona International Raceway with the Fd. We ran the infield gokart track and it was a blast. The rx7 is such a joy to drive, even on my worn out rear yokohama sdrive from 2011. The goal was to have some fun, check the engine performance and cooling system. Very impressed with the setup. I can't help but to ramp about people who say that rotary cars are unreliable. I drove the car from Orlando to Daytona, ran it hard and drove it back from the event. Stayed tuned for the videos. Brap on rotards.
