Hello rotards. Well I have not messed to much with the rx7 since my son has been eating away with my time and pocket. I thought keeping a rx7 fd was tough this gokart thing is crazy. Either way tomorrow i will be adding a splitter to my front lip. I had tried previously to add one but I thought it just looked to racey for me. I had that same splitter reworked and now it is ready to mount. Brap on brothers.

I think I may keep it and try to trim it so it's not so. Well I cant think of a word but I am not really liking it. It may help with some down force but like I said it's a street/track day build. I am thinking if I pull it back a little and trim the corners it may flow better with the oem rx7 lines. Either way I will post when I modify it. For know i stay with the oem r1 lip.

That would look sick on my 99 front bumper..
Agreed! Would look killer on a 99 front bumper. I think it might be a bit much on the OEM. I'll gladly take it off your hands.

What did you use to make that splitter? I was thinking of making something similar for my car when I go track.

The guys at Speedzone in Kissimmee,Fl took these pics as I backed her out of the shop. I was there to get the front splitter installed. The lack of proper hardware stopped the installation. I now have the proper hardware but have not had the time to have it installed. Hope to have it installed this week.

Thank you gmonsen. I built it for me but it gives me great pleasure when others see the beauty I see in her. It is sometimes hard to find the right balance for me. I dont want OEM but I also dont want too extreme.

Great build, friend!

I've been stacking up parts and plan to get started once the last of the parts come in from RPM. I think I'll document my build as well

Keep up the great work!

I like the splitter on the r1 lip spoiler but i think i need to come forward half an inch. Before it seemed to aggressive but now it seems to be to conservative. Man its tuff getting the right balance.

I came across this clean rx7 at the practice for the IMSA Daytona 24hr practice. I love seeing owners who are not scared to drive there cars. The car did look similar to mine so of course I liked it. Lol

First shower since the installiof the front splitter. Had to get her ready for this Saturday rotary meet at Speedzone in Orlando at 4pm. If you live in the area and have a rotary or just want to see some come buy. There will be 5 fds for sure and who ever else may show. I will take pics and post them here.

The rotary lives in Orlando Fl. Some people know it as the home of Mickey mouse but I know it as the home for rotaries. This event started at Speedzone and then ended at Classic Mazda of Orlando. At Mazda they had food, drinks and a few Mazda race cars. Even the Mazda IMSA DP was there.Great times for sure.

Thanks guys. February 1st is an rotary event at Ace Cafe Orlando. I am sure the turn out will be crazy. I am guessing over 50 rotary cars. Stay tuned for the pics. I missed one special car that came to our meet. Stand by for the video. After this meet my gauges will go out to be fixed. I am tired of the rpm gauge working when it wants to

The event even had this cool Mazda IMSA dp there. It is a cool racecar but there is one thing missing. Rotors rotors and rotors. The engine does not go brap brap brap unfortunately. We will be there next year also. Feel free to pm me if your interested in going.

Yeah man... cant wait!
We got 6 rotaries coming over from the Melbourne area.

I went to the last rotary meet in Sept and it was a monsoon but still enjoyed it.
Hopefully we'll have better weather for this meet.

The IMSA 24hrs at Daytona was a blast. The Mazda prototype came in second. They also had this beautiful throw back IMSA 3 rotor racecar. Man do I miss the rotary cars in IMSA racing.

I made a few new retard friends. Special thanks to Eddie for taking these great quality pics. Hung out with estavan62274 with his silver Fd. The car was mint and he is a good dude. Also met some other rotards from Melbourne, Fl. Hope to hook with them soon. Great rotary meet at Ace Cafe for sure. Next week I will be removing the rpm gauge and speedo for repair.
