Since i havent done an update on the car in a while i figured i should do one.
Build is coming a long but waiting for parts has been killing my timeline of having this thing running by april.
Currently waiting on:
EWP
FFE mag sensor
ign1a coils
Whole fuel system: cj rails, id1050/1700x, quick disconnect fittings etc etc
custom v-mount kit fitted with wiggins on air and oil connections
slew of sensors
custom rywire harness done with milspec bulkhead and a few sensors added to it
driveshaft(dss)

It’s 10hrs from where I’m at and I know you know the price of travel here in japan. On top of that no jci and it def won’t pass anymore. I do want to get it down to 7’s day this year before we head back to the states in September. Will see how everything goes.
When the trip from Tokyo to Osaka was over 10000円, yeah. Big pain in the butt. I do find it quite difficult to believe it wouldn't pass JCI, though. As long as it's been down it'd have to go for an initial JCI again anyway, I think. You could just get the title modified then you'd be fine. The gov't wont ship it stateside, but apparently there's a big to-do about that right now anyway. But when all the parts on this thing are of an exceptional quality and in many ways better than stock while maintaining drivability and not being a racecar, I don't see any reason it'd fail, really. Just don't forget the cat when you take it in lol.

There are actually quite a few thing that would fail. aftermarket arms, no air pump, no cat, the list goes on lol. It wont be jci'd again before i leave. I will get a jci policy so im able to have a slash plate and drive it. Yea now i have to get a mk4 supra and this thing back now. I highly highly doubt its gonna end up changing in the near future.

When you can’t figure out where to mount things, just make a bulkhead connection!

Don't know if it's super common, but for the SBG Oil cooler kit that 90 fitting from the block to the thermostat has given me nightmares, had to tighten it about every 50 miles until i changed to a 1.5 foot loop of hose to take away the loosening motion.

You are right friend, from what i have seen it is fairly common. Many people have swapped the fittings on there and gone with a different brand. I used a dab of lock tite on the threads (blue) nothing crazy and am gonna try my luck. Thanks for the heads up man.
