Going to get real serious this weekend.


100ft spools of mostly 18, going to be most of the full new lightened body harness.

 

You might need more colors than that haha. I'm still kicking myself for reusing the same color for different functions in the harness. I've got it all labeled so it's not that bad, but different color wires really make it easy.

 

front relay box has 8 relays, got enough for that harness. cabin relay box has 12, but will come out in two harnesses

 

nice swap mate. what kinda power and tq figures you running? im starting to really consider doing a v8 swap now.

 

We pushed 456 whp through a single 3in cat leaving around 8* of timing on the table because of the restrictive exhaust. We should be around 510+ with a free-er flowing exhaust. Eventually going to put a whipple on it and be near 800.

Reusing a fabbed oil breather


Replaced the heavy fuel pump access with light cheap AL!

Building the cabin relay box/switch panel right now.... hopefully borrowing a friend's welder tonight so we can mig the firewall instead of tig. We want to have first drive in a week... aim high! Also threw away the spaghetti monster above design was good on paper but too many relays in application.

 

Like a boss! ill see if i can make the make the 7th for the release of this thing. You still on schedule?

 

We got 1/2 the new firewall in last night and i just finished all the rear indicators. So far yes. I just hope we will have time for an alignment. Lol

 

Hoping to see this thing again at IFO!

 

Mark will never go to IFO again. There may be too many stock RX8's with aftermarket wheels that will place higher than him.

A friend of mine who has no fear of using a heat gun in florida heat for hours on end decided to strip the oem deadening.



Fuel + electrical, then vroom vroom.

 

^Should have used dry ice for removing the sound deadening, more effective and cooler.

 

Heat gun = free.

 

i'm interested in seeing how much that box of sound deadening weighs.

also, what is the thing with the filter on the pass side of the fire wall?

coming along nicely. i'm really impressed at how fast you've put this car together. i'm sure the gumball run will be amazing.
